That's great news johanne. Hopefully he's now over the worst and will keep on improving.

I now know why people don't travel light... my laptop may be tiny and weigh next to nothing, but have you ever tried packing a headset?!

I really don't want to turn up with a vast amount of luggage for a 5 day trip, but its not easy! As I don't want two wheely cases, I'm also stuck with a rather unpleasant pale pink bag for my hand luggage. Definitely need to get myself a decent set that works together...

    Hi

Just popping in quickly with an update from Mudbath her DS has kidney stones, so no wonder he was in pain poor love. The plan is to zap the bigger ones, so he will be in hospital for a few more days.
I have passed on all your love & best wishes.....

That's good news Johanne I do hope everything will be ok now.

LadyL thanks for letting us know about Mudders' DS. Kidney stones   Poor baby, that's grim, but it least they know what it is now, and can crack on with sorting it out.
We're all missing you LadyL I hope you'll be wanting to post here again soon. (((hugs))) and squeezes for you love.

I just had a frustrating 10mins. I took my lamp apart, cleaned the shade inside and out, and cleaned the lighbulb. I also cleaned the plug and flex of any dust and grime (it's been hanging down behind a tall cupboard for about 8 years ) Making sure I dried the bulb really well, I managed to break it! And in my store cupboard I appear to have about 30 energy saver bulbs but none of the sort I need for that lamp
Still, it's clean now, and ready for it's new bulb. Which reminds me... the girls' room needs a new bulb...

I am so glad that Mudbath's son 'only' has kidney stones ... I was dreading hearing that it was a tumour or kidney failure. I guess she must also be relieved that this is something that can be treated :T Will he have to have a special diet from now on, though?

I have cleaned and tidied the storecupboard today (the equivalent of the 'cupboard under the stairs') so now I have somewhere to put my 'fling' things that I want to sell at a future carboot sale :T. I have somewhere to declutter to! Hurray! That means I may get a star one of these days for finishing a room list :j Oh well a girl can hope :rotfl:

Off to crochet more squares for my friend's scarf. I am determined to finish it in time for Christmas!

Top news L-L : I'm so relieved for them all. Send Mudders my continued love and get well soon vibes please
And top news from you too Johanne! But, pray, tell us more about BF! Where did you meet, 8 month old child? What's the relationship with his ex etc. etc. etc. But you can tell me to stick my nose up my own derierre if you wish!

Greenbee - methinks you are stressed about your trip and it's coming out in what to pack.... are you nervous underneath? Just remember, all you REALLY need is passport, visa, ticket, money - the rest is just, well, baggage!

Have done two coats on the floorboards where the china cabinet goes. Looking at them, they don't need a third which is just as well given the barricade I've had to erect to protect them against animals and children. DD is off out tonight and is likely to stagger back in the wee small hours one over the eight - it wouldn't be good to have a barricade up in the entrance to the bathroom then!
