Are you sure it isn't april 1st? How can you send video or photographic evidence of spiders NOT being there?!

I'm still working on the packing, and I really do need to do some flying too, but I may not have time :D

I still can't decide how to do the hand luggage. I guess I should pack the big case first...

soappie - sounds like one of your projects! think i've missed something!

Welcome home Rach - yes another project - living room floor. I took the carpet up ages ago and just left the floorboards as they were. Decided it was time I tarted them up. I started last Monday. It's taking ages - they were covered in years of grot.

Here's a thread with a pic I took at the beginning of the week

Well I've had a shower and my sealant did its job. It also doesn't smell of rotteness and damp anymore so I hopefully shifted all that when I did the job.

Afterwards I cleaned the bath out to get rid of lingering residue and now it's all shiney and clean.

I have a mountain of washing to do which seems to have bred throughout the day.

Other than that I have to pick up DD2 with her friend in a mo as they are sleeping over. I think I may have to stick the heating on as its a bit chilly. Maybe put it on for an hour.

Greenbee we're supposed to be off on 19th Oct.

  • Hi All :hello:

Toots special cuddles and ~~~~~ bloomin feeding tube sort itself out for goodness sake vibes for you. :D

Johanne I'm relieved it's not pumpkin, but very sorry to hear BF's bambino is ill. Sending vibes in your direction hun (((hugs))) Plus ... it's very good to hear that you've got someone new in your life :)

Erm ... I know I was s'posed to send vibes to lots of people ... but I've forgotten now :(

Oh yes, Fedup Happy Birthday angel :bdaycake:

And Greenbee good luck with the trip et al :)

Well, we've been on a mission here today. Once again the no booze thing is really good, and means we do way more in the house. We've been working on the front room. Which has involved the ongoing furniture juggling, one unit here, another thing there. *sigh*

Anyway, slowly but surely it's getting there. Books have been sorted and moved from one set of shelves to another. I've sorted out tons of 'stuff' shredded loads, and thrown loads too. It will be lovely when it's done. :)

I also cracked my mean mummy whip and got my girlies working too. So we've got a lovely clean BR with a scrubbed floor. The beds have been changed, I've had a sort out in DD2 & 3's room, but that's a work in progress too. More to be done in there tomorrow. There's so much needing doing everywhere, and although we've done loads i don't think there's much I can cross off the lists ... although I will check now.

    Hope everyone's well

Further to many discussions on here about yankee candles there is a good deal here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=25652393#post25652393 Half way down is a link to ebay for the yankee doodle intro pack for £10 inc P&P. Looks like a good deal to me or a nice present for someone.

Mrs B - congrats on the new BR. Don't suppose you fancy sorting mine out.....
