Hello all
Back from my hols. Had a lovely relaxing week once we realised FiL was doing ok. Some short (for us!) walks, good pubs and lots of sleep!
Since arriving home at 12.45pm we've unpacked, got the WM on (though kept up with laundry all week), been to St@rbucks for lunch, had an hour with FiL who came home wed (apparently the earliest they ever send them home, Drs are really pleased with him), opened post, had my eyebrows done, and got a few bits from the supermarket, so all in all not bad!
We cleverly cleaned and changed the bed before we left, though will probably dyson through tomorrow so it's set up for the week (I'm out a couple of evenings at least!).
We're going out for a curry at 7pm and I need to have a shower and give my mum a call first.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Well since my last post, I've had lunch (jacket potato with creme fraiche and green pesto in, followed by a strawberry activia and a couple of cups of redbush tea), baked aronia berry muffins using the free sample of dried ones we had from holland and barret the other day (haven't tried one yet, so hope they taste nice - they are cooling at the moment), cuddled little black furry, watched some x factor repeat, meal planned and written shopping list, and that's about it. OH says I should go shopping tomorrow as we have plenty of milk etc. Have home made chinese takeaway from my Dad last night for our dinner tonight. Actually feeling quite hungry, despite being all bunged up, so when the muffins have cooled will have them with a cup of tea.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends.

Getting on quite well with my lists.
Cake out the AGA and nearly all eaten - could be delaying dinner a bit now.
Bad news on the drains - hubbie and I have been out and tested them and they are not fixed at all! At least I have the direct line to the guy at Highways now so we'll be having another little chat on Monday, I think he is as fedup with it as I am.
Going to do some pictures of the RofD in a minute so I can chart progress.
DS3 has put the wii fit on now but I'm too full to do my stint just yet.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Oh Greenbee what about jetlag?
apparently (I read this in a book once and it has stayed with me) if you make insoles out of brown paper and wear them in flight you won't get jetlag! Just stand on paper and draw round it and cut them out...The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Rogan josh in the oven for dinner. Just the two of us tonight. It feels really strange.
Dog's bedding nearly dry. She wet the bed last night. The first time ever. She is 15 and a half and still going. China cabinet emptied and moved and I found some second wind from somewhere and have scrubbed up the floorboards in that area. As soon as they are dry I may put down at least one coat of varnish tonight. I'm quite keen to do it as that will mean 6 complete lengths of floorboard out of the 22 will be done - more than a quarter of the room, but not quite one third....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
