Mrs B, well done on the decorating! We've been in our place for two years now, it's getting to the point where I have to redecorate! Nooo!

Just having a sneaky cuppa and catchup
dusty is the drawer supposed to come out of the washing machine? It hasn't so far (6 years :rotfl:

Well mine does but what make and model do you have - I'd hate to encourage you to break your machine:eek:

I hate packing  but it does make me realise the point of ironing... the ironed stuff fits in so much more easily!

It's still relatively warm where I'm going (20-22C) so I'm sticking with summer stuff. I think I can stick to a brown/cream/pink theme for daytime stuff and mix and match. Mind you, it's only 4 working days, so 2 skirts & two pairs of trousers should be fine. I just hope the dress code isn't different...! I'm taking a selection of tops so I can dress things up or down. Plus a completely different dress/cardigan just in case. And I guess I should take some jeans too. Oh... and some shoes...

What I really want to wear on the plain is my scruffy tracksuit bottoms and my slightly grubby pink ugg boots with a t-shirt and a fleece...

Maybe some smarter ugg boots would be the answer :D

    ..

Oh you are stressed look at your spelling :rotfl:
You need flip flops and fit flop boots and then you'd be set ;)
I hate packing so I so know where you are coming from - I'd be in JL buying new bed linen or clearing out the cutlery drawer to avoid packing:o

Kaz - my clock really helps me wake up on dark mornings (but can feel like you are being interrogated by torch

It started to think about raining, so washing is in the dryer. Handwashing is done. Lunch has been eaten. I suppose I should get changed and go shopping. (I should probably make a list first too!)

Freegle collection still hasn't been made, but I'm not going to sit and wait for her to email

ETA - thanks Dusty! I'm just frustrated as I don't know what I need, I don't really feel confident about my wardrobe at the moment (need to lose weight as always!), I'm meeting people for the first time, and I REALLY don't want to take masses of luggage, but can't quite fit it all into hand baggage. I suppose I should minimise the hand luggage and hope that my hold baggage doesn't go awol...

Off for a well-earned cup of tea now and to make a jacket potato for my lunch. Then meal-planning and food shopping and a bit of washing. Need to change the sheets tonight as I've washed my hair this morning, but Little black furry (cat) is still on the bed asleep, so will wait til he gets up. I hate to move him when he looks so peaceful. lol

IMHO - taking just hand luggage is a mistake. The chances of your bag going missing is minimal and if it does you have an 'excuse' for not having suitable clothes.:p I feel the same about my wardrobe at the moment so I do sympathise!

Can you go on the website/email somebody to ask what the dress code is where you are going? On the whole I beleive american dress is quite dress down unless you are very corporate. Go to your library or big WHSmith and look at the latest copies of american mags to see what is in 'vogue' there. Do you have smart cardies/v necks or no you need a jacket. Layering is key. Skirts are good as if it is hot you can go bar legged or tights if it is cold (not with fit flops though!)
