Greenbee - methinks you are stressed about your trip and it's coming out in what to pack.... are you nervous underneath? Just remember, all you REALLY need is passport, visa, ticket, money - the rest is just, well, baggage!
I need my laptop too, as it's a work trip... don't have visa or ticket as they're electronic! But I do have printouts with the reference details...
Yes I am VERY stressed!!!
ETA - I'm wondering whether to take a walking stick... just in case I have mobility problems as a result of the flight... I don't think it'll fit in the bag though...0 -

I had a lovely day with my mum today and she bought me a lovely skirt and jumper which make a great outfit.
A really nice day with it being on a Saturday too. A geat day overall for a change
Just polishing off a bottle of prosecco watching strictly (just managing to type ok!) Bought some great things for my tea from the farm shop yesterday but had fish and chips for lunch which filled me up so will have to postpone until tomorrow and freeze the rest.
Tomorrow's jobs are WMx3 and big garden clear up and the wind knocked over my plastic greenhouse and looooooooads of leaves to clean up. Bathroom to finish and window cleaning too! Plus really must do the wrapping kit inventory to finish of getting prepared for christmas as I saw some nice kits today.

Just going to see what I need to do tomorrow - I've got a hotspot again in the dining room  wish I wasn't so untidy but I must keep it in checkDon't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Think I'm packed... hold suitcase is bursting at the seams (work clothes plus gym kit, trainers etc...) and I nearly forgot my make up
Hand luggage isn't particularly full - laptop etc are in my 'handbag' (handbag is folded up inside hand luggage for use at a later date!). I have a change of clothes, books, ipod, work, laptop (no charger, as I'm in economy - that's in the suitcase), moisturiser, handcream, footcream, facial wipes, hand wipes, sanitiser gel, mascara, shoes.
Just need to decide what to wear to get on the plane, seeing as I already have the stuff I need for getting off!
Can't find the luggage strap for my suitcase (I think I lent it to my brother, so no doubt I'll never see it again!), but I did manage to locate one of those mini padlocks that open with a paperclip, which will at least hold the zip shut! I definitely need new luggage... and luggage scales... and a travel alarm clock...
Hopefully I'll remember to leave here on time (oops... forgot to hoover and wash floors today... and to go to the post box... I'll have to make an effort in the morning) - I have to be at the office parked and unloaded by 11.30 when the taxi picks me up. Check in at 12... then 2 hours hanging about . Get to JFK @ 4.40pm EST...
I'll try to drop in to the new thread during the week to let you know I arrived OK and whether the packing worked!
Off to find some supper (must remember to wash up and deal with any food that is likely to go off too), then probably go to bed and worry about whether I'll be late0 -
I did all my little jobs in town and then went to the cinema which was great
I tidied the front room whilst getting rather nervous through the second half of the footie :jand have done bits of filing.
Thank you for all your messages :A
sexymouse - hugs; it sounds like you have a ridiculous amount of work to do. Glad you've got a Union sorted. I'm here if you want to PM me - no-one should still be at work that late on a Friday!!!
Valli - don't forget there have been several postal strikes ETA - I see others have told you!
greenbee - don't forget all your lotions and potions have to be in a clear plastic bag and there is a limit
rach - welcome back; glad FiL is doing well
Johanne - glad to hear baby is back home
L-L - hugs and prayers; thanks for the update from Mudbath
I have booked to go and see Toy Story in 3D on Tuesday evening which means I'll be able to cross one thing off my 101 list :j Also had on there about looking into counselling so, seeing as doctor has referred me, I guess I can cross that off too........."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Well, I have two horse-chestnut trees in my garden, and enough spiders to start a 10-year research programme, so I think I'll start now...:rotfl:
Spent the afternoon with DH and DD pressing apples in our Vigo mill - we turned 2 crates of windfalls into 20 litres of pale pink apple juice, and froze it down in old Copella bottles.
I use our apple juice to bottle fruit from the garden instead of using a sugar syrup. We're nearly out of last year's juice, and the pears are just about to start falling, so needed to get our skates on. And I picked up 16 discounted nectarines last Wednesday from the Condemned Food Counter at Sainsbury's - had reached their 'use by date', but unsold, and not quite ripe either - so today we bottled them using some of the juice, and made 5x 1/2 litre Le Parfait jars. Yummy. The colour is fab.
Tomorrow I'm going to spring a HHC once again on DH and DD: determined to declutter the living room so I can get more than 2 stars next week (I only seem to be able to earn them for kitchen and bathroom at the mo!).
Mudbath: I am so relieved to hear that they know what is wrong and can tackle it.
L-L: Thanks for letting us all know, and hope you are OK yourself.
Johanne: Glad your BF's baby is well enough to be discharged now
Toots: Hope you are in less discomfort now
Fed-up: Glad it was a good day for you. Happy Birthday!
and hugs to everyone who need them.
See you again on Monday - with a decluttered sitting room

*yawn* Just woke up after a little 'lie on the bed for a snuggle' turned into a 2 hour snooze!!!! Oops!
Good news Johanne.. I am really pleased you have found someone to look after you, you do deserve it! I'm even more pleased the wee man is home with his mummy.. hope he is all better very soon.
Mudders.. Stone smashing vibes coming your way for those kidney stones.. poor little man having to suffer those.. I hope his recovery is swift now they know what they are dealing with.
Greenbee.. have a safe trip and stop stressing!! It will all go well and they WILL love you and realise what an excellent choice they made in hiring you!
Love hugs and healing vibes sent accordingly to all who need them... poop.. I forgot my tablet tonight, though I am not happy taking them I am feeling very sick.. and they aren't working 100% anyway... never mind.. 7 days more to go with them.. hopefully my hospital appointment will be sorted by then and the issue elinimated.
I have bathed 3 children today and myself and done nothing else, I am popping down in a second to get my lab coat in the wash before I need it on Monday and I need to get the school uniforms washed tomorrow.. that will be interesting on Monday too as I don't have DD1's or DS2's or DS3's in the wash!
Cracker has had his tablet and his abcess appears to just be stretched skin now, he heals so very quick, the half inch cut the vet did the other day had closed by the next morning and had to be forced open, it is having none of it now so he will need it lancing should it fill up again.
I got bread from tesco while I was there earlier.. and crumpets for OH and I tomorrow.. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE crumpets.
I am hoping to get a few bits of furniture shuffled tomorrow without children under my feet, they are at their dads tonight and are there next weekend too so hopefully we can juggle them, I need to empty under my bed too as I have a new kingsize bed coming in about a weeks time, it has no footboard and a longer mattress so 6ft 4 OH may actually fit on it and stop sleeping diagonally across the bed.. good job I am only little or there'd be no room for me! I have correct size bedding anyway so one less thing to buy there..
ooh.. my new bed has proper discreet storage bits.. AND.. a bit for shoes.. so I may be able to shift out my shoes drawers.. and the bed linen shelves may be able to go as there are drawers it will fit in. That will free the shelf unit to go in the shed hopefully.
I need to sort through the childrens garden-house too so the bikes etc can be stored over winter in it.. There are a fair few that can go to the tip which will be good.. there is a fridge out there I am going to ebay as well I think.. it has been in the shed over a year and needs cleaning.. AGAIN.. but it can go. I am seriously considering getting rid of the crappy condenser dryer as well, it is so expensive to run I am certain a small, half load, vented one would make more sense, and take up less room.
I will comprise a list of stuff to do too.. the 101 in 1001 sounded fab so I may do that... I like lists they are my favourite!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
