  • Evening Everyone :hello:

This is very odd for me... gone 10.30 on a Saturday night, and I'm stone cold sober. I've even carried on clearing and tidying - even more unusual  I don't think I've ever been cleaning past children's bedtimes on a Saturday... I don't recognise myself :rotfl:

So, I've got my LR clean (mostly), clear and tidy. :) The DR table is now CLEAR :j :j :j :j woo hoo. The new bookcases are in place, and ready to have stuff put on them. The existing shelves have been cleared, cleaned and re-organised.

The desk/office area needs overhauling tomorrow. *sigh* will it ever end? Then there's all our paintings to decide on... where and if they're going back up.

The girls' room needs a serious culling, and DD1's wardrobe needs an overhaul.

So, still loads to do tomorrow. But, it's be great when it's done. So far I've got 2 bin liners to chuck out.

I've put a couple of things on fascist freegal!!! I"m been posting for goodness knows how long on freecycle, but tonight, I had a temporary aberration, and forgot to include 'offer' and 'location' on the subject line. Never mind the fact that in the hundreds of posts I've made I've always followed their rules... no, no, *ping* I get an email from a mod explaining and some considerable length how I should lay out my posts. ( she clearly is not a lovely, level and considered mod like our lovely PenPen ) :)

Fair enough if I was a newbie...but blimey!

Right lovelies.... I'm off to beddy byes, not sure I can cope with this sober lifestyle, it's very odd.

pigpen - am out of the loop after hols, sounds like you've been poorly, hope things sort themselves out. I sleep diagonally too...and I'm only 5ft0!! Something to do with my dodgy hip I think (that's my excuse anyway!). I love having a king sized bed and we're usless if we have to sleep in a normal double...ended up in seperate beds half the holiday as the duvet was so thick and the bed too small DH kept waking up all night!!

L-L thanks for the news from mudbath - please pass on my love, and some for you too!

I should really do one of those lists, I love lists and have been having fun writing lists in my new mini life book diary! Even started a list of Christmas presents to buy (and bought a couple on hols!)...sorry soappie!!

I have arthritis in both knees and hips.. one knee being worse than all 3 of the others mind! so I do tend to shift about a lot and moving wakes me so I am quite disturbing to sleep with. As a result I wake OH often too.. xh was ok as he was able to sleep other side of the bed as far from me as possible.. an extra 6 inches in height make a huge difference in a 6ft bed.

I've not been ill per se but had AF problems.. namely she hasn't left me alone for 2.5 months..:mad::mad::mad::mad: I don't like her any more. I have drugs to stop the bleeding and a scan booked to find the cause.. I just don't know when it is yet.. My docs surgery are meant to be booking it but they've probaby done it already and just not told me when cos they are thick. I need to go back to quacks if the drugs don't resolve the bleeding.. it has lessened but I now have the most awful stomach pains so I may end up back there sooner rather than later.

Greenbee.. have a safe trip and stop stressing!! It will all go well and they WILL love you and realise what an excellent choice they made in hiring you!

I'll try to remember that! I'm still not sure why I took a job that involved so much travel when I hate leaving home...

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to be spending all my free time with my boss  so won't get any shopping in on this trip. I've got my flight socks & a limb gym which keeps the circulation going. Plan is to drink lots so I'll spend my time getting up and going to the loo :p

Hope you find a balance between benefits and side effects with the morphine. I know it's hard to get it right. Make sure you keep posting and letting us know how you are.

Hopefully the drugs have moved on since I last took them, but I found that milk helped with the stomach pains (TBH, anything else made me want to throw up). I've now given up on them, and rely on the fact that the mooncup makes it manageable and reflexology helps too. Having said that, I CBA to keep a record :o... but do find that the reflexologist can kick-start things and give it a good clear out, after which it tends to calm down. AF is very kindly joining me on the flight tomorrow  I also find that regular exercise and a mostly vegetarian diet with plenty of tofu makes a significant difference, but you have to start the exercise slowly, as initially it can make things worse it you do too much too soon.

Suppose I should go and make a hot water bottle & then go to bed...

Night all... thanks for the support!
