'do it for the grand slam Don' by any chance?

Little darlings and DH are home, busy making new messes . Both boys have been in trouble today at school, I dare not ask DH if he has too :p.

I hoovered a couple of hours ago, you wouldn't believe it now. Does anyone else have this problem or indeed any practical suggestions - the carpets are over quarry tiles and will need replacing some time. Small children, dogs, cats, building works, etc.

  • OMG I just turned into my mother in M&S!

A middle aged, middle class pompous man spoke so rudely to the staff whilst I was in the queue (sitcom in action). I was so appalled that on the way out I gave him a piece of my mind, very loudly, about how rude he was - other customers were laughing and the staff shouted thank you very much to me as I left.

    :T:T:T:T:T:T

I applaud you. I am M&S staff and although most people are lovely you get some that are awful. Like the woman I had the other day who tried to use a handful of £5 off a £35 spend vouchers when she'd spent £60. It was the oxfam vouchers that you get when you donate an M&S item to oxfam. She was most upset when I said that she could only use one per £35 spend and one per transaction. She suggested I do 2 transactions...she was even more unhappy when I told her she'd not spent enough to split it into 2 transactions. Her comment was 'well that's the last time I do something for charity'!!! Silly me, I thought it was all in the giving, not the receiving. I am the kind of person who gets a kick from being extra nice to people who are like that (when I'm not allowed to answer back anyway). I think its funny when they are trying to pick a fight with you and you just don't rise to it...it winds them up even more. hee hee!

Bolognese on the side defrosting for tea but I need to empty and refill the DW and set the table. Won't start cooking until DH gets home.

I'm working tonight (at M&S) then working with SIL tomorrow day, then working again tomorrow night at M&S so may or may not get chance to get back on here tomorrow.

Off to start the kitchen tidy up and try to find a snack. Feeling a bit shaky and in need of a sugar boost and can't wait until tea.

The ironing has been done which means I need to do the spare room  I wish I could wave a wand and it would be done. I am sure if I knuckled down I would get it done but I can't face it. Going to wait until OH gets in, if he doesn't help me he will have to do it by himself tomorrow so there is his incentive :rotfl:

My knee is crippling me today so I am somewhat drugged my stomach is cramping like you wouldn't believe and I am absolutely freezing so have been in the house wearing my coat for the last hour.. I will NOT turn on the heaing!!!

The children have been much better behaved tonight which after the last few days is wonderful, they have been horrific the last 2 weeks.. not doing as they are told, being rude and cheeky culminating in one being sent home for punching another boy in the face (yes the sam child that broke a girls nose just before xmas) a bawling out in school for not doing any work and a total ban on all computer games!

I'm sure I had a list at the beginning of the week.. from which I have achieved nothing at all!

Food.. bed for chimps.. then I am going to look at a book list see what I can afford!.. bed early again for me I think..

ETA.. Yes I had a list.. of which I have completed started nothing!

I've done 5 minutes in the RofD sorting out a bag of hangers to dispose of - either charity shop or freegle as not sure if the shop will want them.
