Correct bra Size and 'big' knickers

Thanks to everybody for their informative replies. I did'nt realise M&S had an iffy rep for bust measuring. Of course I understand that diff shops and fitters and bra makers will have their sizes slightly different so guess it would make sense to get measured what ever shop you go into.
Must admit I dont understand the thing with 'comfort' pants though. I like pretty underwear and I'm afraid that my next door neighbours 'windsocks' just dont do it for me lol.:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I have one other question, isn't it hard to get bras in those sort of sizes in the high street? Does anyone have any recommended brands?
A 36D is nice and easy to find, but even trying to get 34DD is hard especially as I really like H&M undies and they are all for tiny ladies
Once you know your correct size, try shopping on line - Bravissimo has an internet shop, but so do Brastop, Figleaves and Curvylicious. Brastop and Curvylicious tend to be the cheapest, but all the shops will have discounts and promotions, you just need to sign in for the mailing lists. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
I swear by my local independant fitter, i'm a 38GG and she is excellent at getting the best most comfortable fit. She sells a lot of french bra's, she said they really know how to make good bra's! The bra I covet is £70 but when I tried it on it was so comfy!
She always uses the size as a starting point, but knows which makes fit better, etc. She also runs a loyalty card!
She has moved shops 3 times since I have known her and I would never use anyone else!0 -
I use Bravissimo, they are great for big boobed ladies (or men)!!
I was wearing the wrong size for years before being measured in there, i recently got a swimsuit with a bra fitted into it, it is really comfy and very flattering!0 -
LOVE bravissimo (but not the girls in the manchester shop to be honest), get fitted there, don't buy and then visit brastop etc for cheaper bras!0

just had a look in bra & knicker drawer - my bras range from 32C to 36A ??? I just try them before i buy them and take at least 3 diff sizes into changing room. a lot depends on the style of bra too.
Knickers - the ones I actually wear are Sloggi Maxis i have them in white black and nude and they dont show vpl no matter what i am wearing - the ones i dont wear are mostly gifts from my husband who lives in hope that i will one day wear them (he has no chance - I once dared him to wear a pair of thongs for the day and he refused!!!!)0 -

Same with me. M&S measured me completely wrong. I have heard from someone (can't remember who) who said that when M&S measure you for bras the only bras that fit the size M&S decide you are happen to be M&S bras. No idea how true that is.
Anyway, I went to a 'proper' lingerie shop - Rigby & Peller. Got measured and got a fabulous bra. I'm going back for another at Christmas (they aren't cheap but worth every penny).0 -
The problem with "professional" measuring you is that you get told different sizes in different shops, what are you meant to do then lolDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Find one that is comfortable, and for me actually one that holds em up and covers em up:rotfl:Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
