  • Hi rpb424

Thanks for all the work you have put into this fix but unfortunately I am still receiving the below error when converting the CSV to OFX :

Error 9 (0x9): Subscript out of range: '[number:1]'
    At line 466 col 4
    In module Nationwide-CSV_multi_account
    Last function was LoadTextFile

I have followed what you have said and put several different combinations in of my account number but has had no affect and receive this error everytime.

    Can you help at all.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Spurtime,

I've made a slight change to that script, so could you re-download it and try it again? Strangely the error you quoted looks like it relates to an area that I didn't change, but try it anyway.

I've just encountered the new Nationwide interface and Microsoft Money woes. I'm so glad that other people are having the same problem because it's more likely to get resolved at Nationwide. I have fired off a message to them to indicate this issue and I think everyone else should do the same (to encourage Nationwide to fix it).

Up until now I was also using MT2OFX program with the Nationwide scripts. I've followed rpb424's instructions completely. MT2OFX says Conversion Successful for my downloaded CSV files. However, when I try to import the OFX file into Money, Money says the file I'm attempting to import is invalid or corrupt.

I really do appreciate all this effort from the general community to get a solution working but I'm annoyed at Nationwide as we shouldn't need a work around.

Anyway, any help you can provide will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    techno79,

Please could you open the OFX file that has been generated in Notepad or similar and check that the line starting <ACCTID> (around about line 33) has your account number after it. If it doesn't then Money complains that the file is no good. One of my modifications in replacing the 'xxxxxxxx' lines in the scripts should ensure that this number gets correctly entered.

The updated script worked well for me, many thanks for the work you have done!

    Hi there.

Thanks for the updated scripts. The credit card one is working Ok from a first test, but I can't get the multi one to work.

I downloaded the scripts and looked for the XXXXXXX but couldn't find it. I then looked at the script and found that you had actually used what I presume are dummy account numbers instead. I replaced the first number (under flexaccount) with my 8 digit flex account number from my debit card and the script is ticked in the MT2OFX program. I get the message that it completes the conversion but then Money tells me that the file is invalid. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

Should I be using the 8 digit account code from the debit card, or the nine digit one (which is the same number but with a 6 at the front) that is on my statement and which the website seems to have as the number for my account (though the first four digits are x'd out on the website)? Do I need to make sure that the account number in money is the correct one (in Account settings) or does that not matter?

I don't remember having to actually put my account number in when I set up the old script ages ago.

    I'd really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Edit: Just checked by manually saving the OFX file created and the AcctID field is blank? When I put in the correct 8 digit number using notepad and then open it with Money it imports fine.

I'll try and explain step by step.....

    1. Copy the downloaded files into your Program Files/MT2OFX folder, overwriting any identically named files.

    2. You need to edit these files (Right-Click on them and select Edit). In the 'Multi' and InvestDirect files you need to search for 'xxxxxxxx' (using Edit - Find) and replace those 'x's with your account number for the account shown in the line above........

    Hi rpb424,

Thank you for taking the trouble to rewrite the scripts.

I have failed at step 2! I opened the "Multi" files and searched for the 8 xxs but could not find any. In fact, there were no lines with even 2 xs in them. am I doing something wrong?

    Regards,
    Marc

Please download the multi file again. It should be correct now.
  • Think I have it! I had renamed my flexaccount to 'Current' on the website (ages ago). When I went into the script and replaced "FlexAccount" with "Current" everything started working again. I renamed it because I have two flex accounts and needed to distinguish between them. They are now named "Current" and "Joint" so I edited the script to add the second "Joint" account with the correct account number and that works too.

Maybe techno79 has renamed his account too?

Many thanks to RPB424 for the script. When I saw the ofx option on the new website I had thought that finally Nationwide had sorted things out. I should have known they would balls it up and leave it for one of their customers with obviously far more brains than they can manage between them to sort it out.

You should be using the 8 digit number off your debit card. I'm not sure whether or not it matters whether Money itself has your account number stored under Account -Settings, but the number certainly needs to be in the OFX file or it gets upset when importing it. You seem to be very nearly there since you can manually hack in the number and get it to work. Could you check the original downloaded csv file of your statement, open it in Notepad, and check that the first line reads '"Account Name:","FlexAccount *********", although the last five stars will be the last 5 digits of your account number. The script is simply looking for the word 'FlexAccount' in the first line of the file and then assigning whatever account number you entered to replace the x's in the line below. This should ultimately end up as the AcctID field in the OFX file.

Edit: Ah, I see you've fixed it!
