On 10 June 2009, Microsoft announced that they would be ending development of Money. The company plans to discontinue sales of Money by 30 June 2009, however will continue to support the product until 31 Jan 20110 -

Hi
Another frustrated Nationwide customer here and long time Money user. Read this thread with interest and trying to download the converter - could someone kindly give me instructions about how/what to do with the actual converter program then i can follow the previous instructions specific to my Nationwide accounts. Very grateful for your help.

I also managed to do this, I used and modified rpb424's script, I then tried the new Nationwide Scripts from the MT2OFX site and found I could select the account again. It may be worth renaming the account either in Money or on the Nationwide website, I think the later would certainly work, triggering Money to ask which account it is.0 -
Anyone able to help? I get VB script runtime error whenever I try to open any of these conversion files - not good with computers!0

I have downloaded the appropriate files and tried to set the options as recommended here but when I click convert I either get Money starting to open but then I get an error message saying this isn't a mny file - I then select my correct moneyfile but then the imported data doesn't appear anywhere. If I already have Money open then I am told Money is already running. I am normally quite competent with computers but don't know much about running scripts so don't understand what the problem is.
Also I have accounts with Smile and Egg - can i get the converter to work with all of these (they are listed)
Please help me someone....I have Money version 12 which I think is 2004 and XP.0 -

It sounds to me as if you've changed the file association for OFX files, they should open with Microsoft Money Import Handler, but I think you've associated them directly with Money, so it's trying to open them as a Money Document/file. To confirm this right click on a OFX file and hover over Open With, it should list Microsoft Money Importer and MT2OFX, if not you need to use choose default program option and set it to Microsoft Money Importer, do this by using the Browse option, navigate to Money installation folder and select mnyimprt.exe in the Microsoft Money/System folder.
It should be noted I'm using Vista and it may be slightly different on XP.
As long as you can download a CSV file then it should work, you may even be able to download an OFX file.0 -
I could weep with relief thank you so much - that was what had happened and I am now at at last seeing my new entries in my Flex account...I've never been so happy to see money going out of my account....eternal gratitude and a huge cyber tipple of your choice on me!:j0

As a Nationwide customer I feel just as annoyed that Nationwide not only removed the service - the best in the UK - but then make us risk out info with software or websites just to get the OFX files we need.
As well as complaining, please add a comment, facebook or twitter message at this campaign site - betteronlinebanking.co.uk/dear-nationwide-internet-banking-ofx
(FWIW I've used Ed's website to convert the CSV file and it does work)0
