May 2010 weddings!

Welcome to the forum mrsb2b, i've still got far more than you to do but had a phonecall to say my wedding dress is ready so at least once i've got that i can start to look for shoes etc..
Having a nightmare time making the minimum numbers for the venue, don't want to invite people for the sake of it but unfortunately due to some family members pulling out we won't have enough This is really getting to me lately along with everything else, i've just got ao little time left

My dress will be ready in 3 -5 days... (Due 16th Jan )I *hope* People keep asking if I have a plan B. I have no plan B.. Help! Milly *will* come through, won't they...??

Just over 8 weeks to go for me :j

Am off to see about getting my wedding dress altered today, bought it last year and have lost nearly 3 stone since so its falling off me at the top Hoping she can take it in else I will be off to buy another one...

Well I was pinned within an inch of my life but think the dress is salvageable :j

I know seamstresses have no mercy. When I went for my 1st fitting thought I was going to pass out, she had me pulled in so tight LOL. Can't wait though feel so happy everytime I think about it.

*peeps head round door*... Hello Mind if I join you all? We're getting married on May 4th. I think it's fair to say I am more terrified than excited lol, but only because I'm not good at being the centre of attention or coping with big 'dos'. Don't get me wrong tho, I can't wait to be married, just want to be the otherside of the actual day, if that makes sense!:) O/h has been brilliant though about me preferring it low-key - I think he's the same tbh, and we've kept our 'Big Day' quite small... so I guess it's really our 'Small Day' then lol.

So there wasn't a huge amount to organise - registry office and small reception venue are booked, as is honeymoon. Homemade invitations sent. Dress bought, a fairly unfussy one from All Saints but still lovely I think - I was really stressing I wouldn't find anything I felt happy wearing. Last thing really is to decide on rings and a few bits and pieces like shoes etc. We're not going to have loads of flowers and might make our own cake, or have family help us make one.

Loved reading about everyone else's preparations on here - I think you're doing amazingly well! Keep up the good work! :T

Hi Sazzy, you sound pretty sorted :j I go to pick up my dress on Friday but unfortunately due to the nightmare story of it, i'm not looking forward to it and want to get out of the shop as quickly as possible I'll be glad once i've got it though as i can then get some shoes and check if my flowers go with my dress as i'm unsure if they will. My ring has been at the jewellers for a couple of weeks now, really need to make the effort to go and get it! Still very stressed but on a positive note, i'm just about to order my tesco vouchers for our honeymoon :j
