Well don't show them to her then if you think it'd upset her. Mind you she may take the it a whole lot differently as you have and not be so offended - in fact I imagine she'd probably have a bit of a laugh!

For your information my aunt has an underactive throid and shes a size 6 and cant put any weight on because of it. So not every one is the same.

Are you sure its an UNDERactive thyroid and not an OVERactive thyroid, as that's usually what causes weight loss and an inability to gain weight.

Oops, thanked Bootski when I meant to press ABUSE. That is utterly offensive and outrageous. I can't report you because my computer isn't set up to be able to use Outlook, but i hope someone else did. I just can't believe someone could say what you said there and the post is still displayed. Yuck.

    Hi Folks,

I'm new here and would love some quick help!

Basically we live in Hull (me and the wife just married in April) and we would dearly love to move to Bridlington so we can start trying for a family and live more economically.

Now then, my wife is disabled and we are on income support. Unfortunately as she keeps getting turned down for DLA we are not in receipt of DLA.

I am finding it hard to find work now even though I'm a qualified IT Engineer.

What would be Ideal is for us to get a council house in Bridlington possibly on the grounds of my wifes disabilities and move there before Christmas. We can get good references from our landlord and we can get backup from her GP.

But, It's looking difficult to move to Bridlington through the Town Council straight away.

We cannot afford to go private due to paying for bonds etc.

As we privately rent in Hull we can't do an exchange.

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way forward ?

    Thanks alot in advance!!!

    Chris & Victoria

Did you want to move to Bridlington because that's where there is more work for an IT Engineer?

If I were you, I would start by looking at where your job prospects are best, and then see. Why not apply for jobs in lots of different cities, especially if your wife doesn't work, because then you are both free to move somewhere else. Then you could possibly afford private rental, which would give you more choice.
Forever I will sail towards the horizon with you

Your computer isn't set up for it? I don't believe you.

Is this still a touchy subject? Question is should the disabled be helped or still live a life being discriminated against? Does the suggestion of abortion upset you. It's not that long ago, that these people were either aborted or, if they lived, experimented on by Nazis'

You've completey changed the discussion. If you want to talk reality and not this OP's personnal circumstances and let rip - then open another thread in the Discussion Forum.

We're now, finally, talking about and accepting assisted suicide - will that offend you too
