She has applied for DLA a couple of times and been refused. It was quite a while ago now and I cant remember why she was refused.
But its the same old situation, those that done deserve it get it and those that need it dont
These comments are quite offensive! Obviously when your wife was assessed, she was deemed not severely enough effected to qualify for DLA. She should thank her lucky stars.
My Mum NEEDS DLA and she GETS it, therefore your equasion does not always add up. (For info, my Mum had a brain tumor that nearly killed her 29 years ago, as a result, she is paralysed totally down her right side, cannot speek coherantly, though knows what she wants to say, and now has various other medical complications that are affecting her quality of life. ie brittle bones, loss of balance.)I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?:A

This is the first things that went through my mind also.
The chances of a couple without children getting a council flat anywhere before christmas are about the same as me flying to the moon. But that's not a reason in itself to have children.0 -
Whilst Brid is lovely, wouldn't it be wiser to head somewhere closer to Leeds or a commutable distance to Leeds, where you would have a much higher chance of landing an IT job.0

Isn't an under active thyroid usually trotted out as an excuse for being a fatty?0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I guess this is one of the more well known effects of an underactive thyoid but there are lots of others including, tiredness, thin hair, brittle nails, slow movements, painful muscle, memory problems, constipation as well as fertility problems
Not commenting on whether this amounts to needing DLA, just pointing out some of the other symptomsFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

Hehe...it's an old family play on the saying.
Dad is disabled and swings his leg and he used to have the pee taken out of him by his workmates.
I have heard it so much that I tend to forget to use the right saying :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I have reported Bootski for being offensive. I've never reported before but I couldn't believe how awful the post's content was.It's great to be ALIVE!0
