The "successful" CCJs on their website may not be anything to do with parking at all, or they could be made up.

    www.ukparkingcontrol.com/legal/ccj.aspx

I don't think they are footballers this time, so UKPC has shown better imagination than some PPCs:rotfl:

Looking at other parts of their website it seems the "legal" stuff about an owner having to know who is driving at all times is becoming more common amongst PPCs - I am guessing is the latest directive from the BPA and would expect little else from a trade body.

If the BPA is the source of that drivel then they have placed themselves in a very uncomfortable position indeed.

Whoever came up with that has to the best part of illiterate in my opinion.
To utter those words deliberately while understanding how false they are would mean intent to deceive and so the Fraud Act could be considered.
So its either from a fool or a crook in my opinion.

Thanks for the responses all - and support.

I am on my second letter from the dept recovery agency; it is funny as its a carbon copy of the one scanned and posted on this site stating that I know owe the spiralled costs of about £250, however they are being really kind and will accept about £140 if i pay within 7 days.

    These guys are sooooo kind.

This came fairly promptly after the first from the dept recovery agency, I am waiting in anticipation for another :rotfl:

£51 for a letter sounds about right - your paying that for the other 150 people that have failed to pay them.

They are trying to extort money from you, simply ignore any letters in relation to this matter.

It is not 'ticket' it is a unenforceable invoice to which cannot and will not be enforced!

    Ignore

If you can translate that quote into English so that we can understand it, we may be able to help.

    Esther,

If the letters relate to a private parking ticket, they are empty threats which the company has no way of enforcing against you.

    Ignore them.

If they "are" chasing a parking [STRIKE]fine[/STRIKE] invoice then simply ignore it as you did with the first letters. Its just another punt with the scary tactics.
  • I have just received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus. I have never had any parking ticket stuck on my car, so the letter was a bit of a surprise.
My question is should I ignore them from the outset, or should I send a letter back saying that even though I am the keeper of the vehicle I dispute their charge.
  • Just ignore them, why get stressed over such a small thing. Let them waste their money chasing rainbows.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
