Hi everyone been looking to see where this had gone.
Seems like last week BR.
Nearly six months:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Six months today for me & hubby.
Hubby has heard nothing about anything from OR since initial contact. I had a few requests for info, got a letter saying my car was exempt. I was also asked if hubby was interesting in buying beneficial interest, and I had to provide a valuation and mortgage statement. I queried whether he could buy BI as he is bankrupt too, that threw a spanner in the works it seems and I've not heard anything since. I tried sending a couple of polite e-mails requesting an update but not had a response to either.
How's everyone else traveling six months in?0 -
Well its been 7 months in for me now and all is well, its hard at times when you need that bit extra cash for something but no card to fall back on BUT thats only a good thing and its how i want it to stay, doubt i will EVER have a credit card again, i have the o2 prepay and barclay bank card so all ok when shopping places:D
I am 'hoping' i get early discharge but not bothered if i dont as time is flying lol.0 -
hello again folks :wave:How you all getting on?
It will be coming up to 10 months for us all from tomorrow.
Anyone had early discharge? We were told we qualify, but sadly not yet happened.

Hi Darnit,
Its 10mths to the day for us too . Sadly we have not had an early discharge but not really sure when you hear about it or how you qualify. You mentioned that you qualified but it had not happened.
Do you mind me asking how you found out. We are in NI so not sure if a little different here as our experience appears quite diff to others on here.
We have received letters from our OR's saying that they no longer have an interest in our case and that they have contacted all the creditors and told them what they will or wont get etc...Also that the only debt left was my fee of £310 but that would be paid by the Insolvency Service as Im on Incapacity Benefit.
Sorry - Confused and cant remember where I hid all the bumpf on the bankruptcy procedure. Do you get an official letter one day saying that you are now discharged???
Our OR has been helping us lately with some outstanding matters and in each case he has written to the dept and told them that Insolvency Service no longer has an interest in eg. job shares; tax rebates etc... Thanks Lisa0 -
We had a letter a couple of months back regarding early get since then it hasn't happened. Depends how busy they are I believe. If it goes the full 12 months, it will just show on the insolvency website as discharged automatically. I think some people have letters and some haven't. I am not expecting it early now, as it wouldn't make any difference anyway, it is just psycological (?) really.

Hello folks, anyone from last years club still hanging around? We were told we were to get ED but it didnt happen. After ten months it didn't seem to matter anyway.;) Can't decide whether to stay up till midnight and watch my status change on the insolvency website with a glass of wine later in the week? OH thinks I am mad 'cos he says it doesnt matter now. But it is a mile stone isn't it? Just seen the new thread for this year, and can't believe ours is nearly over! I just wish I had done it sooner.

Does anyone know if you drop off the website on the midnight prior to your discharge date or the midnight on the day of the discharge day? Wouldnt like to stay up on the wrong night!

Its the night prior to AD, got a shock when I looked at mine as was expecting it to happen on AD day!!
Mind you, was still able to share a mini celebration with IF Wishes, who happened to be in the Inn with me at the time

That's a good idea! The Inn, however, just had an invitation out so may be in a real one
