No Marmalady, we weren't referred to RTLU and I am still surprised about that as we have two haouses. Although they are both in negative equity and we are letting the rented one be respossessed. We have had the letters about buying the BI in our home (mortgage and value are almost the same, only £2000 between them) so I was also a little surprised not to be asked ror more valuations. All seems to be going well.

Six months gone my friends.
How are we all doing?:)0 -
Actually Sizzler, it is 5 months gone on 9th March. Still makes no odds to me really, just impatient to reach the next stage. I just want it all settled, and I want to see my name drop off that register! I want to be able to save some pennies withouit worrying someone might take them off me. I want to change my car (eventually) without having to get permission! I want........
How is everyone else getting on??? Doesn't sound like we have had any real disasters in the October club?

Folks, I am feeling particularly positive today.
In fact I have been gatecrashing the "mortgage free wannabe" board. And it got me thinking. I am already devising a cunning plan, a ten year plan before early retirement. HAA you might laugh, Darnit and Mr Darnit are bancrupt! But I am a glass half full person again, and I can feel the warmth of the light at the end of the tunnel. I digress. Anyway, I was planning a "new forum identity" before starting my MFW journey so that the others wouldn't know I was a discharged bancrupt. However, why should I? Perhaps it would give others some inspiration if we had a "discharged MFW" thread of our own? Those who have had their debts cleared and now want to pay off their mortgage or plan for retirement in as short a time as possible. Any one up for it from when discharged?
Of course we would still offer others support on here with our experiences, and of course, wait until we had bought back the BI in our homes! Sorry to inadvertently exclude those renting or perhaps losing their homes, I am sure there is something positive that could be done for you too, but we wouldn't be rubbing anyones noses in it as we would pop over to the other board to do it.

I was wondering if there are any more updates from you lovely people?
As for me ~ I have had a letter saying the OR has no interest in my car which is good news. No further word on the BI though after having paid $400 for the valuation. I sent my OR office a couple of e-mails asking if there was any update but didn't get a response (I expect they are extremely busy). Hubby hasn't heard a dicky bird from his OR office so not sure if maybe that's a good thing or they are just snowed under.
I'm still addicted to this site and I keep looking at the insolvency register online as if it'll have all the answers! Not knowing whether we'll be able to keep the house is probably the worse thing at the moment and I've become very touchy about money, going into a complete panic everytime one of the kids dares to utter 'I need ...'
Thank you all for making this journey a little less lonely. Would be good to hear how you are all going.

My wife had to complete one in March and she went BR last week in November, but hers was for ED!:pB&SC No. 298

:wave:Hi folks.
Doing OK, just trying to get money together for BI in house. Bit obsessed with house prices at the moment in case they ask for new valuations. Have to wait for new mortgage statement before we can finally pay and send in paperwork for BI
