Sugar - I can't believe you are back to work so soon. How long have you been off? It doesn't seem very long since you had Molly. Are you going back full time? What are you doing about childcare? Sorry if I have missed this!

    I know :(

She'll be 13 weeks when I go back, which is appallingly soon but with my project being externally funded this is the last week I can go back and still have my job as it is.

Fulltime's a bit vague since I'm an academic researcher; a lot of my work can be done at home and I'm probably going to spend relatively little time in the office. Husband's job allows him to do likewise, so between the two of us we'll be able to cover childcare and both our jobs with some Extreme Organisation.

It's good that you have the flexibility I suppose. 13 weeks is probably longer than some people get in other countries mind you. At least you won't be missing out totally by being away for 10 hours a day etc. And you have Paris and Christmas to look forward to!!

Off for a shower now before Holly wakes up. x

Just caught up but I'm not sticking around. Liam had a unsettled night, really clingy, sleepy and generally not himself. He kept nodding ff but waking screaming after about 20 mins or so and then falling back asleep after being settled by me or daddy. He also got a bit of fluff in his eye which had to be removed. That resulted in lots of screaming and an upset Mummy. It took a swsaddle blanket, a bottle and damp cotton wool to get it out :( He's in bed now, looking all peaceful and hasn't woken up screaming yet!

He always complains about how hard it is to resettle Molly after night feeds - I never have any problems with it. It's weird, and I wonder what he's doing differently.

    Edit: Good morning all!
    doesn't breast feed her? :p

I wonder as well whether laid back mums might have a stressy baby, but not label them as this and just work round it/laugh at it/do something else?:)
I think Fritha is the perfect example of this, Celia barely sleeps but she just takes it in her stride (nothing against those parents that do get stressed by non-sleeping babies btw, you are perfectly good and totally normal parents for doing so!:))
I was up past my bedtime sami cos we were doing the dream feed later in prep for the clock change.:p:D
Oh yes I forgot  we usually like the spring forward more as Chris has usually not got back into a decent bed time from the chaos of Christmas, holiday and birthdays as begining of the year is busy here!
My parents are having Ferg tonight, so goodness knows if they'll carry on with our pattern! :)
    probably not lol

I just get random southernness from you coz I'm not very good at picking out southern accents, I doubt I'd guess welsh if I didn't know tho!

Did anyone else see the advert on bbc1 for a new impression show? Jon culshaw (??) doing Micheal McIntyre made me giggle just from seeing the floppy hair :p

On accents I just read you all as like me, although I'm not sure what me is as I'm from a scally bit of Manchester but I don't talk scally (hmm if you met me some of you may disgaree :p) or at least I don't sound as bad as the Gallaghers (Oasis or Shameless) and I don't sound like I'm off Corrie either (I get this alot on the phone at work )

i have a mixture... depending on who knows me and who i've been taking to??

I am dreading the clocks going back...Why can't they just leave the flaming things alone;)

Accents, I have a kind of none accent. I grew up in Brighton but when I moved up north I tried my best to speak (plastic) scouse so I would fit in...but whenever I visit family down south I start to slip back into a southern accent.

Kai has actually eaten a fair bit of food this lunch time yay, Now just dinner time to deal with later.

I try really hard not to become that kind of mum. It's one of the reasons why I had a home birth. (I know that won't sound logical, but believe me there's a special weezl logic at work there, but I won't bore you all!)
Please bore me Weezl! I am a bit stressy but Lilia isn't although she is high needs, she is very happy and contented. Not routine i don't think but lets me knoww what she wants and is kinda regular with stuff but times vary week by week. maybe she';s too young right bnow?
sorry for typing, she is asleep on me.
