Elle - my bestest RL friend is originally from Grimsby, but somehow ended up here. She made me laugh once when we were having a night out, and before we went, she went to 'the beeroff' to get wine!

I think there are more Grimsby-isms than I know.. My Mum's from Grimsby but Dad's from Weymouth. And if I'm being really picky, I grew up in a lil village 10miles from Gy (so had a bit of a quaint upbringing! ) but moved into town when I moved in with OH

I think Glam (and Sparkle) sounded very 'normal' like you and MFD.

If I speak to someone from elsewhere, they say i'm scouse..... but if I speak to someone from Liverpool, i'm so not!

Elle RL friend is always coming out with bizarre grimsbyisms - she doesn't realise til she notices us looking at her like she's mad!

I'm off to bed too now - i'm up far too late tonight! I'll regret it tomorrow.

I grew up south Manchester close to the area where Oasis are from - but all traces of that accent were corrected as my brothers and I grew up.

Even now if I copy the accent from where I live now I get told off!
