MFD We're staying at the Premier Inn, Wolverhampton CC on the 7th Nov. Is there anything for a mum and two girls to do on a wet saturday evening in Wolverhampton? And whats the shopping like - is it worth going down for a Saturday afternoon shopping session?

Shopping isn't great if you are used to Liverpool IMHO. But if you fancy a meet for a chat and an early dinner (like there is any other kind with babies LOL) Benjamin (and I) could be made available :D

Sami - I get told all the time how chilled and independent Benjamin is and I think that is because I let him get on with it! I aim to be a chilled mummy like 3, whose parenting style I admire greatly from the couple of hours I have seen her for, in an encouraging but not smothering kinda way.

Aw, thank you! Thats a lovely thing to say! I've got all teary! :o

I agree with Sami that the stressy mums I know in RL don't actually have stressy children, they just think they do?!?

My perfect example is the mad one down the road who i've [STRIKE]moaned about[/STRIKE] mentioned before! She is the most stressed out person I know - she's also the only person who has absolutely nothing to be stressed about.
I've only known them since her DD started at my DD's school a couple of years ago - but from what I can make out DD has been wrapped in a very thick cotton wool blanket since birth!
Mum is always ill, if there is an illness about - she's got it, and its worse than everyone elses. Mum is always going on about how ill DD is, although she never actually appears to be?
We went to the park a year or so back, and DD wouldn't go on anything - her mum, several times, reminded her that she didn't like swings/slides/roundabouts and didn't want to go on them!
A couple of weeks later, I took the DD to the park without the Mum coming with us - and she had a whale of a time, going on everything! She was obviously not as 'dangerous' as my DD, but she still had a go.

Anyhows......she called here to borrow something last week, and Violet had managed to crawl under the table, and bumped her head on a chair as she sat up. I bent down to see what she was doing, then said 'oh you silly billy, come on, back out of their to mummy'.
Said Mum was absolutely horrified that I didn't crawl under the table myself, get her out, dial 999, then arrange for the table and chairs to go to the tip to prevent further accidents!

MFD - that sounds good - we could plan to be in Wolverhampton at a child friendly dinner time! :D
