MM, are we getting piccies of this room when it is done?
You will of course get piccys when its finished, it would need to have responses of ''oooohhh'' and ''aaahhhh'' :rotfl:jillie1974 wrote: »its going to be a great surprise for her!!!
you'll have to do it like they do on the tv...with a big reveal.

Forgot to take a pic before we started  Just think drawn on white walls and ripped pink paper with a broken bed and toys littered everywhere and you are getting close :rotfl:scruffy
MM How r ur 2 today? I've been thinkin bout you today.
Dylan is fine, a very very slight temp, but nothing elseJasmine on the other hand is quite sick, still has a really high temp, sore head, sore throat and runny nose. She does on the other hand say she feels a little bit better, but (appologise in advance for this) she looks like crap

yep! MFD I reckon you have a high rhythmicity baby too!
Incidentally I don't feel routine or non-routine or low rhythmicity or high rhythmicity are better or worse than each other. Just lovely differences between people.
I do too weezl... Poops in morning, naps at 9am, 2pm and 5.30pm he HAS to be in bed at night by 7.30 or he just gets upset! and wakes by 7am every morning.. He is thrown if we are out and about all day, seeming to prefer the familiarity of home/nursey.

Does anyone think there's any truth in the theory (dunno who's theory exactly, I heard it from a friend) that babies born in the evening sleep better at night and babies born in the morning sleep during the day but not at night - sleeping straight after birth due to getting over the shock of it all..
Rhys was born at 8am and sleeps in in the morning (well, used to!) and doesn't sleep at night, whereas my friend's baby was born at 5pm and has always been a good sleeper at nightMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »The CM I went to see today was in New Invention and it is actually quite handy for me getting to the M6 (in a roundabout kinda way!!)
I found her on the net but she is not on my list from Wolverhampton CC - so then I figured she may be Walsall???
I guess I could ask her when I call her to say thanks but no thanks - or would that be crude!!

I really can't remember what happened (it was around the MRI but I'm not entirely sure), but I clearly remember pleading with Rhys to go to sleep, peering over the side of his crib, holding his dummy in, him roaring and me getting ratty at 3am about a month ago, and then for the last 2-3 weeks, we've had none of that at all. We just put him in his crib, wide awake, and leave him to play (with this clipped to the side of the crib) and he goes to sleep whenever he wants.
I used to be of the mindset that he had to be asleep before I went to sleep so got ratty when I wanted to sleep and he didn't, now I just leave him to his own devices - he's safe in the crib so I'm free to go to sleep (as long as he's upset, but he's not cos we're not forcing him to sleep)
During the day, IF he has a nap, he either snuggles into my shoulder/neck or just drops off to sleep while lying on his play gym. Putting him in his crib during the day to force a nap hasn't worked so far but it has won me a few half an hours just to eat my lunch!0 -
Elle DD was born at 5.19am and has been an ok sleeper - i.e. goes to bed quite easily, woke once in the night and settled quite easily after.
But is also might be because of a theory I heard which is that c-section babies are more chilled than traditional births as it's less stressful on the baby, and she's definitely chilled.

For the second time today, I really love my hubby!!!

Aww - I do too!
See, it must have been the fate fairies making all the CM stuff go wrong - because they knew this was going to happen. :rolleyes:Does anyone think there's any truth in the theory (dunno who's theory exactly, I heard it from a friend) that babies born in the evening sleep better at night and babies born in the morning sleep during the day but not at night - sleeping straight after birth due to getting over the shock of it all..
Nope! Violet was born at 4am, and sleeps for 2 x 15 minutes at the most during the day, and sleeps all night (fingers crossed!).

I had my meeting about Christopher and I am now ready to talk about it. Poor you lot it's a long ramble, so feel free to skip.
The speech and language place is not a school, it's an access place, so he would be at college nursery and go there afternoons... maybe.
do you think this would help him, or would he be shifted around a bit too much??
Big maybe is that his speech may not ever get any better, we can try and try but physically he might just be at his best level. He agrees that it is dysarthria most likey as he also has problems with words themselves. For instance he can match colours but will say red is blue or yellow or dunno. It's like he has misfiled certain words, the word has no meaning to him or an item/object simply doesn't have a name.
He is to get a comunications book with pictures top help him communicate with us.
Quite depressing really, you just assume that your child will do this and that so it's quite a shock when told that the may not be. Kinda felt deep down that the speech may not ever be 'normal', but still... However, I am used to it and will amke the most of it and no matter what I will always support him and push him to be the best that he can be.
big ((hugs)) hun. Just remember the 'welcome to amsterdam' story you sent me when Dylan was born. You love him no matter what
He is to be assessed in a fortnight by his own SALT and one of the ones from the SAL unit and then we will know what the best way forward is.
Primary school wise our choices are main stream (our local) with whatever support he needs this year or possibly defere him for a year (another year at college nursery) next year he will get full time places at college nursery as I will again be a student, so I'm not worried about defering him. It may be a good idea, but that will be assessed sometime around easter.
I assume you will have the final say in this? Do you think a years deferrment is the best way forward? Might give you a bit more time to help him communicate better with others before he starts full time
I do love his nursery though, they really have went the whole hog in getting him the help he needs, spending time to support him (and me). Now to find a way to say thank you to them. Local heroes maybe?
Local heroes would be a lovely idea, or what about getting Christopher to make them a thank you card and giving a small gift to the teachers with it?The two best things I have done with my life

Evening Ladies :hello:
Might have been mentioned before - Tesco have a clothing sale at the moment which includes baby clothes, some at half priceDespite having previously said that Andrew has enough clothes, Marley decided that some were too cute to pass up
Yesterday's BFs went well, very wet nappies. Today started well but went downhill, to the point where I caved in and started cup-feeding EBM instead at 9:30pm. Andrew was most decidedly grumpy and not wanting to latch. But I think it might have been that my boobies were too engorged, judging by the amount I just expressed! Lesson learnt.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
