  • Very interesting re routines, Weezl! I'm very much a routine person and the children have followed suit easily. I would find it extremely difficult without one, especially now I have two! ;).

3, I found the Womens to be wonderful but I never had any scans or appointments there, just my two inducements. My nearest hospital is Ormskirk but I chose the Womens due to it being a women and babies hospital, not a general, and its obviously in Liverpool rather than Lancashire. Even though I have never lived in Liverpool, I was born there so felt I have more of a connection. DH has lived everywhere under the sun due to his Forces Dad so he didn't have a say! :D.

OH has signed Tax Credit form so will take a walk tomorrow and get that posted - how long does it take to get anything back?

Probably answered already, but ours took about three weeks from posting to receive money, four weeks to receive the letter explaining how much they'd be paying us! Whereupon I immediately phoned them for a re-calculation based on this year's income rather than last year.

But is also might be because of a theory I heard which is that c-section babies are more chilled than traditional births as it's less stressful on the baby, and she's definitely chilled.

    MDW

Interesting! DS is the most laid back person in the world - and he was my c-section baby!

And OH has identical twin brothers, the only difference is one far too laid back (he needs a kick up the backside), the other spends his life on fast forward always doing something/rushing off somewhere. The hypo one was born normally first, then complications meant the laid back one had to be lifted out.

I just had a thought......maybe the laid back ones were already laid back in the womb, and just cba being born, so waited til someone came and lifted them out! :D

I can't wait for the clocks to go back, maybe Keira will get up at a more reasonable time haha.

Just ordered some Xmas presents, and 2 chupa chop bags for myself *whistle* Ordered Keira's eyepet (out of stock, great!) and my sisters mp3, I changed my mind and got her a pink creative zen, cost £35, oh well. and my shop at tesco earlier actually sprung up to £120 because OH insisted on captain morgans rum and I thought what the hey, 2 for £20, got myself some vodka, to bring to the party tomorrow. I hope i don't get too drunk.

Really must try and keep spare in the bank this month, I say this every month and we are lucky that we have no debts or car to run etc, and we are never short of a quid and Im grateful but who knows about next year as OH's company still aint picked up! Could be redundencies so I'd like at least a few hundred tucked away "in case"

My problem is food shopping! Seriously, I am so baaaaad, I eek things out aswell but we just end up eatin a bigger portion and Im terrible for going to lidl and seeing half price, 30% off and buying it and we don't even need it (biscuits, crisps and pop, Im so common!)

That tesco shop had no real food on it either, 2 packs of mince. Ace!

I mean, genereally all our meals tend to be the same, spag bol, chilli, lasagne, curry, it gets REALLY boring, and we both find pasta meals boring and blah. I need to be inspired, cheap style!

I have no routine whatsoever, not even with meal times. Terrible really, I'd like to be organised but I really not that kinda person and Keira is happy to go with the flow luckily. What counts as a laid back child?

SB OH is a forces [STRIKE]gypo[/STRIKE] brat too.

MFD We're staying at the Premier Inn, Wolverhampton CC on the 7th Nov. Is there anything for a mum and two girls to do on a wet saturday evening in Wolverhampton? And whats the shopping like - is it worth going down for a Saturday afternoon shopping session?

  • Elle - don't forget you all had a very stressful time before, during and after his birth.

My other theory is that the mum's stress levels during pregnancy has a bearing on baby - this is my own observations from mat leave - a stressy mum went on to have a stressy baby.

Whereas I just got on with things, maybe because I didn't believe I was pg - my hind waters broke because I was trying to put my own socks on at 40+1! (I managed it as well)
