Accents, I have a kind of none accent. I grew up in Brighton but when I moved up north I tried my best to speak (plastic) scouse so I would fit in...but whenever I visit family down south I start to slip back into a southern accent.
Kai has actually eaten a fair bit of food this lunch time yay, Now just dinner time to deal with later.

Sorry to whoever has one but I'd never get a P&T's all the baby gets to look at is the back of the other seat bit, highly boring i would of thought, plus I dont like the thought of them being so low down.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Regarding accents, I was born in London, grew up in surrey and now live in Crawley, I most of the time speak like I should be in Eastenders but can posh it up when I need to
OH is Scottish, but not as strong as his mum.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

That is also though why I'm not 100% on if its good for the smaller age gap, Chris doesn't mind being in the back seat because for him its purely functional that he goes it in when he's tired from walking IYSWIM so usually just wants to sit and relax or doze for a bit then hops out and walks again. So I think maybe a young toddler would possibly get bored down there.
It actually wasn't my first choice as I've always said I didn't like 3 wheelers and its not parent facing but it is fab for us and he off roady-ness was great when we were trekking about on our jolly hols.
I just wish I could use the carry cot that they've just started doing but Ed is too big now I think and I think you can only use it as a single prom with it (and its £100!!!)0 -
Does anyone think there's any truth in the theory (dunno who's theory exactly, I heard it from a friend) that babies born in the evening sleep better at night and babies born in the morning sleep during the day but not at night - sleeping straight after birth due to getting over the shock of it all..
Rhys was born at 8am and sleeps in in the morning (well, used to!) and doesn't sleep at night, whereas my friend's baby was born at 5pm and has always been a good sleeper at night
Uhm, DS1 was 9.33pm, DS2 was 6.47pm and Amber was 9.46am and they all sleep about the same. Amber has slept through the night say 5 nights out of 7 since she was 3 weeks old. The boys were closer to 12 weeks before sleeping through. Amber has smilie time about 9pm but no proper routine, whereas the boys did (their own making).money_maker wrote: »Local heroes would be a lovely idea, or what about getting Christopher to make them a thank you card and giving a small gift to the teachers with it?
They get that at the end of the year anyway. Just remembered that his special friend this year is a lad who also has speech problems, he deosn't seem to have integrated as well this year. Think he is starting to notice that he is different, so the speech place would be a good idea as he would be among others like himself if you see what I mean. Just going to play it by ear I think.0 -
I was very chilled and relaxed when pregnant with DS1, and he has grown into quite a neurotic child being honest. Whereas with DS2 I was stressed first with work trying to fire me/cut my hours/manager being a !!!!. being so ill all the time, almost £4000 being stolen from my account and the bank trying to wriggle out of paying it back (fraudsters had set up overdrafts so it wasn't even my money to begin with), my car getting written off outside my front door by a 16 year old boy, DH's work messing about... and he is the most chilled child I know. Has his tantrums (very bad tantrums) but not in any way stressed.0

Noticed that eyepet I ordered for Keira's Xmas, was a fiver cheaper on Amazon, so cancelled it at play, and then managed to get her a princess puzzle aswell, for the same price. Every little helps
Keira was born at 01:37am (I THINK!) It may of been an hour later (im terrible) and she is the best night time snoozer ever, 12 hours straight aaaaaah, just need to get it earlier.
She was great as a baby too, would have a few naps throughout the day and went to one feed during the night, and that got dropped at about 5months, and she'd sleep from about 10pm to 8am, which was fabby. Then when she was about age 1-2, she used to nap twice a day, but it was always on a cushion in the living room floor, she'd haul one down, and fall asleep straight away. Was dead funny.
Lately I'm totally feeling I dunno how to describe it, just odd, that Keira has grown up, and it's passed so quickly, I wish I had savoured those early years more. Gutted.
Forgot to say Mel, Congratulations on the baby!

I think we'd struggle to understand the Scottish and N/Irish ladies.
.
I can guarantee that most of you think I speak like I am from Belfast !!! I do not sing my words in any way shape or form (sorry carla, but you all do it !!:p)
I have a strange accent, but easily understandable till I say something with a 'gh' sound or 3 as apparently English people dont understand my sounds :rotfl:The scottish can understand my accent better though, !!
How are you all anyway?? Took Jas to the doc this morning and it is thankfully not swine flu, but a cheast infection, so is on a week of antibiotics and calpol only, no ibruprofin (sp?) allowed and am to take her back in a week. Phew
Room is almost finished, boys are doing 2nd coat of gloss at the minute, carpet going down 1st thing tomorrow morning, then build bed and get stuff back in room !! I cannot wait :j I actually think I am more excited than Jas will be :rotfl:The two best things I have done with my life
