    Afternoon,

Congratulations Mel. I remember you from the pregnancy thread (as I do with most of the ladies on here). I can’t believe how quickly you ladies are producing more babies! You don’t waste any time ha ha.

Skinty – I know it’s yesterday’s news and you probably won’t be back on to read this, but please speak to someone, and to your OH. Tell him how it’s getting you down, and ask him what he thinks he can do to help – put the ball in his court. I may be completely wrong, but you posted saying your DH was walking around with Lilia, and then criticised that he was doing that. Maybe you need to relinquish a bit of control and let him think of things for himself so you can have time out. Is he involved in the decision making when it comes to Lilia e.g. how does he feel about reusable nappies/exclusive breastfeeding etc? You have set very high expectations, so perhaps DH doesn’t feel he can live up to your standards. Just a thought, as I know I can be overly critical of DH if things aren’t done my way, and I can only recognise it when I take a step back or we have a big row (and most of the time I won’t admit to it anyway!!). I am not trying to be controversial, just offering another point of view so please feel free to ignore.

I understand that you want to exclusively breastfeed, but if you express or give Lilia some formula, you won’t be failing her. It might be better than having a mummy who is at the end of her tether. And health visitors will be used to mum’s crying to them. It’s better to get help now than leave it too late. Hope you have a better day today. Xx

Glam – I am shocked that you have not kicked your OH’s butt and forced him to change more nappies. You have him far too spoiled. I feel terrible for complaining that DH was doing far too much when he was off, but there must be a happy medium!

Elle – hope you get Rhys’ results through soon.

Hope all poorly babies are feeling better soon.
  • ooh and raise him a bit in the moses basket/cot with pillow under mattress or yeloow pages under cot legs, so the snot can drain away.

I'm here but I'm thinking I probably ought to get dressed.. Didn't manage it this morning with getting up late and sorting Rhys, then he fell asleep on me! Finally, a day time nap. Now Daddy's home, he's fallen back to sleep on him too

    Like your new avatar NMS.

Jillie - how did you get on with the new teats? Is Kian feeding much better with them? I went and bought a couple of variflow but they haven't made any difference. Holly is still spilling as much as she does with the slow flow teats. I think when I looked into which teats I had, I had already binned the box and found a set on the Boots website which I was sure was what I had bought and they were variflow. Obviously not though!
