    Maybe bad dreams Chopsticks?

Glad he's okay Caz, and what a daftie, throw a cushion at him :p

What reminds me of pregnancy/giving birth and afterwards (a song I mean) is the Friends theme tune, me and OH used to sit and watch the boxset constantly when I was pregnant, we'd fall asleep too it. Plus OH used to sing it to me all the time "I'll be theeeere for youuuu"

and Keira must of heard it whilst in utero, because when she was born and having a wail or whatever, if Friends came on she'd instantly stop crying and stare intently at where it was coming from.

Caz, sorry I didn't mention your OH. Glad he is OK hun. I have this bad obsession with knowing what time DH will be home. If he goes out, he has to give me a time of when he'll be back by and if he's not going to be back by then, he has to ring or text me. I don't care where he goes or what time he stays out til or if he keeps ringing/texting me to extend it, as long as I know what time he'll be back by.

    Thanks Buttons, I'm sure you're right. I'm such a worry-wort :(

BTW, happy belated birthday. I didn't get on here yesterday but saw on FB it was your birthday.

    Thanks Chopsticks :D

Could the white lumps on her gums maybe be a little ulcer or something? Maybe she is teething and it's just irritated the gum and she's gotten an ulcer before they are erupting?

Not sure what oral thrush looks like, so not sure if that's a symptom but don't they have a caked white tongue with that? Sure someone on here knows more about it than me :)

It probably is just bad dreams, Keira still does that now, she's always moaning on in her sleep, not crying but whinges, I just rub her eyebrow and she goes back to sleep!

    We're back :) Rhys was brave :)

I think there are going to be words had between the hospital and community nurses. The hospital nurses are feeling put-upon that they're doing blood tests which we could have at home, and they don't think it's fair on me to keep going in. Got a lecture from them that I look knackered too.. I wouldn't mind, but I actually feel fine! :o Anyway..
.. Aw bless the dinky crawling baby! Does he like tummy time? Benjamin has spent most of his time on his front since she started rolling over, I think thats why he started to crawl so early (5 1/2 months).

Cries all the way through it out of frustration that he can't move  Tummy time is why he has such good head control :)

Glad hubby is back Caz :D I was thinking his phone might have died and he might not know anyone's number off by heart!

As for songs, Wires by Athlete but I blame Tia for that one :p

Just to carry on from my other post...

It's almost like she's having a bad dream or is in pain then the pain subsides and she can go back to sleep.

I don't know if she's got something wrong with her mouth (and after moaning about my mum in an earlier post, worried that mum is right when she said something's not right).

She's had another full-blown crying fit this morning and it took me ages to settle her. She wouldn't take her dummy for ages, so I wonder if it's something to do with her mouth. However, although she slept well in the night, she only slept for 10mins at the most between 7:15 and 11:15, so would have been tired. I don't know if these crying fits are just her fighting sleep or whether they are something more.

Before I went on holiday, I said Caitlin had a white lump on her gum (but not at the front) and the HV said it looked like a tooth and she was also showing signs of teething. Well, that has disappeared completely (although the drooling is still here) and then last Thursday she got another white lump on her gum on the other side. Again, I thought maybe it was a tooth, but I've tried to look this morning and although I'm not 100% sure it looks like it has disappeared.

I'm now worried she has thrush or something and has had it three weeks and I've not done anything about it. I haven't got thrush on my nipple though and I can't see any other white spots.

I'm going to get her weighed this afternoon so will ask then but each time I mention her crying or anything else I'm worried about I get "babies cry, that's what they do".

A friend of mine has a little girl 6 months old. She had a white bit on her gum-they thought oh good a tooth is cutting through the gum. but when i asked him how she was getting on with the tooth, he said it's vanished! I couldn't understand it lol. So no tooth for them yet either!

    Afternoon Ladies (and Bruno ;))

Anybody miss me? (Or notice I wasn't here...)

We've had such a hectic week... London went well... Although I don't plan on going away with the In Laws again... Much as I love my FIL... Travelling with him is far more stressfull than neccessary when you have 2 small children! I didn't realise until afterwards... But we were staying near West Brompton tube station and you can get the overground train there... Wonderful FIL, rather than pay the couple of quid extra, decided we might aswell take the tube... With a baby, a 5yo, a pushchair, a suitcase, a changing bag, a bag of toys and a bag of [STRIKE]all the things we'd forgotten to pack in the suitcase[/STRIKE]Drinks and snacks for the journey... It was lunchtime rush hour, there were lots of commuters, lots of stairs and escalators and no lifts... It was ridiculous, at one point a lady came up to me and told me there were some guys around who would help us with our stuff, I shouted the same to FIL and he just strolled off down the stairs saying "Oh, we'll manage" Even hubby looked like he was going to burst into tears at that point! Then I ended up at the bottom of an escalator with Aimee, Caitlyn in the sling and a suitcase, everyone had gone up... Aimee wouldn't go on there on her own and I couldn't get on there with no hands free so in sheer frustration I threw my suitcase at the escalator and it went off on it's own, at the top I got asked if I was OK... It was all I could do not to swear out loud! I absolutely insisted on getting the overground back, and it was an awful lot less stressfull!

We had a great time at the show, although we were starving hungry... With no thought to the small matter of time, hubby and FIL decided we absolutely needed to go and see a bit of London before the show... By the time we'd done that, there was no time for us to get anything to eat and get ready (It's alright for him, all he needed to do was change his top!) So the In Laws took Aimee to dinner and I lay on the bed putting on make up and feeding the baby... We ate 2 bags of sweets during the show and bought a kebab on the way back to the hotel lol...

Friday, my friend invited me round for curry and a film, I didn't have a drink but I was a grown up for the evening and it felt great, I even painted my finger nails and they had opportunity to dry without smudging!

And Saturday night, hubby took me out to dinner... I knew he was up to something because he was acting shifty... When we got to the restaurant, all my family and my 2 best friends were there :D He'd been planning it for months and managed not to let slip!!!

So what's been happening with everyone else?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Oh dear - snotty baby has degenerated into thoroughly miserable baby. He doesn't want booby, has had 5oz of a bottle but to be honest most of that went down his chin or all over me (how does he do that?) doesn't want his courgette and sweetcorn lunch (his fave) or stewed apple or fromage frais. He will eat ricecakes however and is currently chewing on his own snotty flannel - anything to keep him quiet!!!

Not looking great for our first swimming lesson tommorow :(

Krystal - sound like you had a fab birthday all told - and you even got the surprise you wanted! Welcome to the cool decade ;):D
