What was your Downs risk MM?
I have a cousin on paternal side that has downs so they automatically offer the test, even though we think it was because the mum was a bit older. So no risk as such, but still given a choice to have it.The two best things I have done with my life

Not good. Keep phoning the Mental Health Team, but the Psychiatrist's Secretary is off and I can't make an appointment. GP won't prescribe medication because I'm under the Psychiatrist, so I'm stuck. Latest update is she'll probably be back on Tuesday, and she'll phone me to let me make an appointment then. Why can't someone else make an appointment? I don't know. I'm in need of help and this has already added a weeks' delay. I don't know what to doStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Like feely said I'm always on while feeding Ed (but I don't get out much either
)
Tara is it CVS? I'm guessin it'll involve one hell of a needle, worst risk is that it would cause miscarriage if so, the risk is quite low though. Remember she doesn't have to have it if she doesn't want to0 -
Managed to talk to a GP at the surgery, who said she can't really prescribe it, doesn't understand why the Mental Health Team won't help, and can see I'm in a bit of a pickle. She is waiting for practice manager to get back in to discuss it and hopefully come up with a solution. I so don't want to do meds (again! perhaps it'll be 9th or 10th time lucky, I've lost count) but don't see what else I can do.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Thanks Sami and Bruno. I agree that it's unlikely he'll sit through the whole lot and think it's wildly ambitious!! The snack ideas sound good and I didn't think of sending him with a favourite toy, will dig out something suitable for him to take. Fingers crossed that he'll be so engrossed with people watching etc that it won't be an issue...............I'll let you know how they get on!
I'm off to read some more of this thread now, didn't realise it was here and with a 17 month old and 4 month old I need all the help, support and laughs I can get :-))0
