thanks Bailey, it made me smile a bit that one of the first things you touched on was the garden. We've got a huge back garden that's like a wilderness at the moment with just a small clear space for my clothes line. Of course everyone keeps on with 'it would be lovely for the children to play in if you kept on top of it' and they don't see the irony at all of what they're saying.........I must be silly tho as I didn't even think of making it low maintenance!
I've been looking at the meal planning pages to try and get that and shopping organised butit all seems a bit daunting, especially when DH is a bit partial to winging it on this front or just buying what looks good at the time! I do have a plan for next weeks food and when he is at the football match on Sunday afternoon the plan is to take my little one and hit Asda for a whole weeks worth of food and hopefully a whole month worth of things like toilet roll, nappies, formula etc
As to the reducing hours thing...the feeling was that I really couldn't afford to (I'm the main earner) but am starting to think that with nursery fees maybe I should look at it again (although I'm in the middle of trying to sort out the fact that my employer dissolved my job while I was away...but that's another story!!)
Not all doom and gloom tho, it's nearly the weekend and I will be taking Oscar to the park tomorrow, it's so much fun watching him explore:D
What MS children plans do other peole have for the weekend?0 -
PS am at work hence the erratic timing of my replies......have to keep checking that I'm posting to your good selves and not emailing someone important...sleep deprivation is a joy isn't :-)))))0

gizmo, have you tried online shopping? Get them to do the heavy work for you
Tesco/Quidco have money off codes at the minute - sparkle explained it a few pages back - and Asda have their Baby Event on at the minute for bargain nappies etc.

Help urgent ladies,
DD has been called to hospital today, now, for a test, something to do with drawing something from the placenta, 1 in a 116 chance the baby has downs, what is this test, does it hurt, any risks?
If it is, I had one with Ry-Ry, it's like an amniocentisis.
It is a bit painful, but nothing too bad, they numb the area then stick a massive needle in through the bump and get a sample from the placenta.
There is a 0.5-2% risk of miscarriage, you can ask the hospital what their own opersonal rate is.
I had my CVS done on the Tuesday night and had the results Friday night.
ETA: when I went for mine they done a normal scan and an indepth one on his heart which was seen by a cardiologist, I had to go back to that hospital for my anomily scan aswell so the cardiologist could re scan his heart.
I know it's not very comforting but I'm sure her bubs will be fine, how many weeks is she?:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

thanks for the tip, I haven't tried online shopping as felt a bit intimidated and wasn't sure I'd get what I ordered. The same with Quidco so if sparkle has done an explanation I'll go straight and have a look. I'll be hitting Asda's baby stuff heavily as well as their events are usually very good and I also have some vouchers from my last Bounty bag to use.
Elle, am very jealous of you chilling with your little one snuggled up to you, you really can't put a price to that feeling can you, despite the washing up.0 -
Hello Gizmo :hello: from a fellow "geriatric" - 40 earlier this year, and just had my first! He's in SCBU just now, was very prem, but doing fine. Who knows, I might be copying your example by (1) having a second, and (2) returning to work!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
