Two nights ago I had a dream that I had two huge abcess things in my mouth that fell out rather like teeth and were like christmas baubles. I can still feel the bit in my mouth where they came from! How weird is that?

DH has a Jaguar, rawrl! :rotfl:

Suppose I'd better leave the house today, get some fresh air... mleh... can't be bothered.

I used to love snow too - but I love snow in the UK, where it might last for a week if you're really lucky, and after the first three days you're making snowmen out of an optimistic mixture of mud and ice.

Here we'll get 6-8 inches and it stays for months at a fairly constant level except when it gets higher. I'm just lucky I don't live out in the countryside where they may get snowed in.

The only appropriate place for snow is either under a set of skis or falling gently on Christmas Day.

I've had an idea, well it was actually a dream last nite, Weezl was a week before her EDD and I told everyone they had to sing POP goes the weezl and the babe would pop out :rotfl:

I vote we try it! Worth a go....

    Morning.

Still pretty shell-shocked here but trying to be philosophical.

Lots of people manage far worse stuff than financial insecurity all the time. :)

I have MW this afternoon, think it's just bloods update, BP and wee. Can't remember when they start fiddling around with the tape measure!

Gosh SS that's a lot of snow! Do you have to have special wheels for your pram or are you using the sling when out and about? Careful on the slippy surfaces! :)

SM, happy slo-cooker day! I'd say you'd fit at least 20 drumsticks in a 6.5l. The only think I'd say if you're doing a batch cook is that the drumsticks will become very tender and the meat will fall off the bone into a lovely gravy stewy thing. So don't bank on being able to neatly portion out sets of 2-3 drumsticks at the end!!! HTH x

    Love to you all,

    Weezl x

what is the magic sponge you speak of? i think i might need one!!!

Em -- chorizo hotpot.........do telll!!!!!!!!!! im drooling at the mouth
jml magic sponge! asda and wilkos :D

    right, chorizo hot pot...
300g-ish chorizo sausage cut into thick chunks (i used 225g cos that was all i could find!!)
    1 onion cut into wedges
    3 cloves of garlic
    1 tin of tomatoes
    2 carrots
2 leeks (i didnt have leeks so i used mushrooms and it was taaaaaasty)
    500ml veg stock
    1 can of chickpeas
400g potatoes (i dont know how much i used i just chucked in what looked like enough!)

fry the sausage for 3-4 mins to get the juices out, put in the onion and garlic and fry til it starts to soften. then chuck in everything except the stock and chickpeas and add just enough stock to cover everything, simmer til the veg is cooked through (or in my case til seth goes to bed, so a good hour or so later!)
drain/wash the chickpeas and add about 10 mins before serving, et voila :) serve with crusty bread to mop up the sauce!!
it was quite salty, i used veg oxo cubes, so i'd advise making the stock quite weak.
would be LUSH in a slow cooker ;)

Can anyone recommend a good auction sniping site which works? I tried one in the past and it didn't bid which put me off a bit but think I could do with using one.
i use goofbay and it seems to work well for me, the only time it fails is if i'm outbid :) you can choose how many seconds you want to snipe at

SM probably a bit late now but asda do 125ml pots for 35p each and 3x200ml pots for 85p!

oh and thank you for the tesco coats link (was it you elle?), i absolutely love some of them! now to find a big tesco...

ETA glad to hear you're doing ok weezl :) i think they started getting the tape measure out at 20 weeks so not quite there yet for you, but i think i heard the heartbeat at 16 weeks? i may be wrong :undecided

    Morning all..

Still a bit sleepy this morning :o Didn't sleep too badly really - as Rhys is getting better at breastfeeding it's so much easier to just lift him into bed with us than having to get up properly to make him a bottle :) Don't know what time he woke up last night, but we got up at 8.20am then get a phonecall from the physio to say she was coming half an hour later so we have another nap for 45mins :) She should be here in the next half an hour so I've rammed the heating up to max (Rhys has to do exercises and be videod just in his nappy) so that's not helping the sleepiness! :(

Very grey overcast day here.. Not the greatest day to be going to the seafront, had better find a cardi! :p

Off to make tea to liven me up.. :) Hope everyone has a good day xx

    morning all..

had much better night last night sleep wise with Kian. still struggle to get him to settle 'for night time sleep' though. he fell asleep last night round 11.30 and woke at 5am which is the longest he's slept for. looks like his active time will be 8.30- 11pm at the moment.

miserable weather here today. could do with going to asda so may have to get dh to bring us all in the car. i dont fancy the walk wn my or with kian.

still feeling full of cold and cough, so hoping the lemsips and cough medicine start to work today.

    and best news....
