Or a doesn't care kind of house!! We went to see one with a laminate floor and Benjamin crawled under her coffee table and came out the other end looking like a duster!!!

:o Oops - was that my house? I really need one of these!

    I'm confused now!

I loved the nursery we went to yesterday - although it was busy/loud, but it was lunchtime.

I was determined I didn't want a childminder - totally selfish reasons, I didn't want Violet to like her more than me! :o With nursery there are more staff so she's less likely to attach to one! (Although Liv went to nursery and attached herself to one worker!).

But then all of this worry/decision making is only going to be for 3 months (max) childcare - until I go on my career break!

i am in no way a clean freak, but if you have babies crawling around a clean floor is essential!! not that he is crawling, just pushing himself along with his face on the floor and his bum in the air. his nose is very red!! sigh

i leave the mess where he cant reach ;)

Minor drama this morning; our kitchen is "mostly child-proofed", with cupboard locks on the ones which have bleach and cleaner in, and the ones with knives and stabby items in. There's one cupboard we just keep binliners and carrier bags in that has no lock, and Elijah enjoys opening and closing it and sometimes pulling bags out...

Yesterday we had relatives over for dinner, and OH cleaned up urgently - including shoving washing machine detergent capsules into that cupboard, which I didn't know about... so this morning before she was up, I was peacefully allowing him to mess with the cupboard, until he wailed miserably and I discovered that he had tried to eat a liquid sachet :(

He had blue gunk all over his mouth and face, all down his front, and he was screaming the house down :/ I rousted OH and tried to scrub him out and then called the 'emergency poisoning number' on the packaging, which was just a recorded message telling you to call NHS Direct!

He was utterly utterly miserable for quarter of an hour, gagging a lot, once we changed his clothes he threw up all over me and the new set, then slowly settled down to being just grumpy. NHS direct told us to watch out for some symptoms he wasn't showing, and to give him lots of little drinks for a while.

So panic over but ewwp. Can't have been very fun for him :( I have guilt but I guess these things happen but - d'oh.

I feel like a bad Mummy when I pick LO up and he has straw in his mouth (indoor rabbit). Oh, he is interested in the bunny now and reaches out to touch him. He also helps feed him, by slobbering over his veggies before handing the to him.

At least the veggies will count towards his 5 a day! :D

Violets favorite place to escape is to is the dogs bowls! I'm sure she's determined to try some Butchers complete! _pale_

Poor Elijah! I bet that didn't taste nice!

Claire, the injection suited me, and I had it for about 4 years. It took a long, long time for my periods to return to normal afterwards. A lot of women experience weight gain and lack of sex drive on it, but I don't know if my huge weight increases were down to that, or the masses of cakes I ate. Is there a non-hormonal coil? Would that be an option?

thanks MM, glad to know its not just me it seems to affect! I'm thinking of knocking it on the head part way through a pack as its doing me in! we got a 3 pack of rubbers in stock anyway so that'll do til I get my backside in gear to get a dr's appt.

cheers feely: i'll look into it, p.s. stop beating my best ever score on bejeweled, its not fair!

Bruno - Hugs, must of been scary. Glad he seems okay.

Keira was never a baby who put things in her mouth etc, except one time when she took a biscuit wrapper out the bin and choked on it, but to be fair that looks like food lol, anyways think it was earlier this year I had one of those new air freshner things in a glass see thru jar, it has beads at teh bottom and sticks poking out the top, well OH was supposed to be watching her, he fell asleep and she drank it!! she thought it was juice! Lots of vomiting ensued, but she had only managed a little bit, but jesus it was so scary, and yet OH blamed me for buying it in the first place!
It was up high on a shelf, she had pulled a dining chair over to get too it, It was his bloody fault for sleeping.

Still makes me mad thinking about that!
