I can at last say Elliot has almost outgrown his reflux now, so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes a week, even a day is a long time for a baby. It also seems a lifetime when you're having a bad reflux day and you just seem to be covered in sick non-stop and changing clothes etc. It stressed me out big time, put me off going out and made me paranoid everyone was staring when he puked.

We didn't get much help at all, were only allowed Gaviscon and even after ending up at A+E we were fobbed off as he wasn't loosing weight (god knows how he wasn't the amount that kept coming up!).

I would say go back to your gp, and tell them they must see your baby again and get something that works. By the time we got referred to a paediatrician he partly improved, so again got told the gaviscon is enough.

He's now 12 months, and still has the occasional sick up, but at 6 months we saw a big improvement then only recently i stopped the gaviscon all together.

None of my friends or familiy's babys have had reflux, so i found it hard with no one to properly talk to. Forums like this are a god send! :)

    Keely. x

Oh Keely, I am really glad you are getting somewhere at long last with the reflux, the problem we are having at the minute is that they are not completely sure it even IS reflux  For the simple fact that every now and then he will keep a bottle down  My babe is just as indecisive as me :rotfl:
We already have a pediatrician due to his birth complications, so if all else fails, we will be seeing him again in December. I just hope this milk starts working soon, I am already in my 2nd set of clothes for today :( I dont mind all the washing, its all the bl00dy ironing that comes with it that I hate.
Dylan is still putting on weight too though, which I find very strange .....

Elle, how many horns/bottles and bits do you have? I'm down to one set of horns, but I've got 6 bottles. When EP'ing, I had three full sets of everything. Horns can be kept in the fridge between pumps for fullterm, healthy babies, perhaps ask if you could do that with Rhys? Then you can pumping in bed, put the bottles and horns in a mini fridge, have skin-to-skin, then pump again with a new bottle and old horns? What about skin-to-skin while pumping? Would LO tolerate being led next to your nudey leg with no clothes on while pumping?

We got all our skin-to-skin overnight, LO sleeping in a vest and me topless, with him snuggled up next to me.
