Lady - Annabel loves my Laptop and makes a beeline for it whenever she sees it!

As normal, I haven't managed to read the 20 or so pages you've all made in the last 24hrs!!! So hugs to those who need/want them, well done to developing babies (I did see Seth is to be congratulated on his new tooth!) and hello to any new babies out there.

LO doing really well and eating is improving. Yesterday she had chicken soup at a friends house and ate it without me having to add any cheese to it! A real breakthrough. Also got a whole nights slepe which was desperately needed too.

Yesterday she surprised us all by pulling herself up on the sofa (previously managed other furniture but the sofa has always been too high and slippy until this point) and has started cruising around the place. She also clapped her hands watching Makka Pakka on ITNG, but I couldn't get her to do it again - finally all those hours of clapping and waving at her every five minutes seems to be paying off. Now who stole my baby and replaced her with a toddler?!

on the keeping/selling/throwing away debate, I've decided to keep everything unless it's just fit for the bin. My sister has announced (well said to me on the QT) that she and her hubby are TTC'ing so there is my excuse to keep things without pressure to produce another!

It's a gorgeous sunny day here but very cold. Planning a walk later after I have tackled some mammoth housework. Tomorrow I have mummies and babies gathering at my house for lunch - planning a baby friendly meal. Was thinking either maccaroni cheese, with salad and bacon extras for the mummies or a chicken soup, whizzed for babies, chunky for mummies? What do you think? if you were visiting would you think that was ok? usually we just have coffee at each others houses, but now everyone in our 'group' is weaning this seemed easier (may change my mind tomorrow lunchtime!)

    Morning all :)

Rhys lasted half an hour before waking up, so got him changed into a (cosy fitting Mini Mode, 9.9lb!) sleepsuit and fed then he went down asleep and settled himself :) Then he woke at half six, so brought him into bed with me. Left him there after his bottle and I'm sure he just lay there for the next two hours just smiling to himself! I kept dozing off and everytime I opening my eyes, he had a massive smile on his face! :D We've also been practising sitting up but apparently falling sideways into a pile of duvet is much more fun!

Anyone else just seen Alison Steadman on BBC Breakfast? She's much different in RL to her character in Gavin and Stacey!
Elle, I'll look for studies this afternoon when I'm home, is ok if I copy your question onto the email list of über experienced breastfeeding peeps I'm on?

    Of course :) Thankyou xx
.. Elle, can you not express in bed? If you get the pillows / angle right, and if you have a coolbag next to the bed to put the bottles into? Might be fun trying to juggle a sleeping baby on your chest and the pumping kit, mind you!

I could, but there's still the washing and sterilising of the kit to sort. Maybe I'm making it more complicated than it is, but I don't have OH here to do the running around for me like is often suggested when babies first come home and dads are still off on paternity leave :o

No rent has been paid up until the 25th (when he gets paid but it falls on a Sunday this month so get it on the 23rd :D) we'll probably need some bits of food, and I know I need new toiletries, we have no soap or shower gel, and Lidl isn't all that cheap for the branded versions, I'm probs best going by poundland for that, and getting a fivers worth, which will last a while!

So I guess just extras! I'll make a list of what I have in the cupboards/freezer later and meal plan with it and see if it can last :)

Elle, I haven't been on as I've been building up my supply after almost stopping last week and then changing my mind. Krystal told me to go to bed with Maddy Friday teatime and we staying in bed until lunch on Saturday, since then I haven't been out except school run and spent all my time cuddling and trying bto get an appetite. Was yesterday I really noticed a decent amount of milk.
