I had a bit of a hairy moment this morning. We were in bed asleep and the doorbell rang. I jumped out of bed with Leila and my legs collapsed beneath me. Thankfully, I dropped Leila in her cot on the way down but she only just made it. I couldnt stand for about 10 mins. I dont know what happened but it really shook me and OH. Although OH was horrified as when he rushed round the bed to see if I was okay, I just shouted at him to answer the door and get my parcel!! I wouldnt want to miss the postman now, would I?!!

Leila looked quite shocked as one minute she was fast asleep in mummys arms and the next she gets flung into her cot! I felt really awful and kept saying sorry to her.

I wasn't going to tell anyone on here, but Elliot managed to burn his arm on the heater the other day :( Bad mom moment i know.... he didn't cry or anything so i'm not sure if it was the bedroom orl iving room one. We've switched both off untill we can get covers for them. So i'm a bit cold! He's got stripes on his arm now :( one bit has blistered, but it seems to be calming down now. I'm dreading getting him weighed in case they think i can't look after him or abusing him!

    keely.

My poor little scrap is having a bad day after her injections - all achey and fussy. She's finally asleep after comfort feeding for three hours or so. I wish I could make it better :(

Edit: I'm in the Bad Mum Club too - I hit Mollster's head off the mobile-holder on her crib trying to keep her feet clear of the bar.

Afternoon all :hello: We're home! :D

Have had a quick read back..
    for Bruno
    :grouphug: for MFD
:T for Dylan's improvements and :grouphug: for MM - he'll get there, hun xx
and more :grouphug: for jabbed babies, poorly big and little babies, mums of non-sleepy babies and itchiness! ;)

Well, MRI was done under sedation, which was in the form of a liquid, so no jabs here today. Apparently the liquid is really bitter, so they mix it with.. blackcurrant squash!  Anyway, Rhys took it okay and 20mins later was bundled into the MRI scanner. I sat in the scan room itself (after freeing myself of all loose metal, but didn't have to take my bra off ;)) and it has honestly got to be one of the scariest things I've ever seen/heard :( I thought the noise was bad outside, but to be sat next to it even with ear defenders on, it was horrid. I sat and cried, watching Rhys bundled up in a sheet with his head wedged in place :( You know when you go to the dentist (and I hate the dentist) and lie there, frozen stiff just wishing it to be over, contemplating if you could just fall to sleep there? It's like that. I imagine no sedation is actually needed - Rhys was probably just paralysed with fear.. I know I almost was! Sorry to sound melodramatic, but it really was just so ick! :(

He came round almost instantly and has either been sleeping or sobbing/screaming loudly ever since - we're at a sobbing point at the minute. OH has got him tucked inside his jumper, trying to get him off to sleep but he won't keep his mouth shut long enough to suck on his dummy for any comfort  I think it could be a long evening ahead..

On a nice point, OH bumped into the midwife who was there when Rhys was born when he went to get some lunch so we popped in to the maternity ward to see her on the way out. Was nice to see her again :) She told me to eat more :(

Anyway, going to console myself with hobnobs. Really should have made RR!

I'm so glad it went ok elle and you didn't have to stay - hurrah for Rhys!

Enjoy your hobnobs. Husband has just gone off to the supermarket, hopefully he will bring back more than just milk, juice and bread. I require something suitably nommy for dinner.

Mollster's stirring but so far staying asleep, and Mama's enjoying her cup of tea and sit down as much as if it had been prepared by angels. There's only so much pacing the floor my feet can take.

Oh Elle, it's all over with now, poor Rhys hope he settles down soon. Bet you needed lots of cuddles after it as well! I refused DS2 to have one. There is no medical need beyond them being curious as to what damage is there and it may explain what happened and after hearing that I'm glad!

    No RR made up?

I may have to boil some caramel in your honour ;)
