I have a RL friend whose daughter is under the 0.4th still at 15 months. She is tiny, her hubby is tiny and surprise surprise, so is their daughter....I told her to stop going to clinic ;)

If you think Ello is happy and healthy then stuff the books IMHO.

((HUGS)) you are doing really well - tell em to take a running jump.

I think it is normal to add butter, cream and cheese to baby mash - their tummys are only tiny so they need the extra fats to help them gain weight.

I echo everything MFD said, because she is a wise woman!

Elijah went from 50th weight centile around birth, to around 0.4th at 7 months! Due to his reflux. Even then though, he was never sickly, unhealthy or suffering due to his light weight. He is back up to somewhere around 10th centile now :) And yes, we gave him lots of heavily buttered, creamy, cheesy etc foods, sweet potatoes, whatever else we could think of which was high-calorie or fatty or so on.

Em, didn't they say they'd let you know Wednesday or Thursday...? Don't panic! :)

So I've no expectations right now, going for the path of least resistance and we'll see how things go. I want to keep BF because I really do love it but if combining makes me feel less stressed then fine.
Good for you. If topping up with formula helps make you less stressed then it's better than trying to carry on exclusively and then ending up giving up completely. All breastmilk is beneficial so even if you were down to just one breastfeed a day and the rest formula she would still be getting benefits from breastfeeding.

    oooh fancy buttons!

scrap what i just said cos OH has grabbed MY car keys and gone to MILs. i understand that he wants to check shes ok, but he didnt as much as say bye, left seth here who is screaming uncontrollably for no reason i can quite fathom when a drive would have calmed him right down and he now wont be back til 10pm at the earliest now, and i'm really rather starving! would have been nice to at least ask how i was, its not like i'm upset or anything obviously!! i spoke to him on the phone about a hour ago, if he'd just told me then i wouldnt have bothered blowing the bl00dy budget on junk food we didnt need!! absolute c0ck. i've just had to leave seth to it, i'm too wound up and nothing i can do is settling him

    hugs emlou :(

can I don my psychologist hat for a minute?

Sometimes it's seemed a bit like your OH and his mum's relationship has rather a lot of her preferred timings on things at the expense of the new little family unit which is you, him and Seth. I'm thinking of tonight, and him being in such a hurry to get to her, but also about how the cot delivery was so much later than you all needed and was on her terms.

I'm not suggesting this is deliberate or that she is a bad person, but I wondered if she's doing this cos she's finding it hard that understandably now she can't come as high up in her son's affections.

But perhaps I am adding 2 and 2 and making 53!!! T'was just sommat that occured to me.

I really hope he spoils you properly on his return.

    xxx

edit: probably walking away and calming down is good, I'm sure little ones can sense when we are wound up!

    More hugs for you xxx

That made me burst out laughing :o:rotfl:

I had to have an internal scan when they thought Charlotte might be disabled. They tried to do a brain scan on her but she'd dropped into my pelvis, so they tried an internal one to see if they could get her brain that way. Craig was in the room and asked if he should leave for the internal scan. I said it didn't matter as he'd seen my bits before, and he went all embarrassed :o:rotfl:

Centile charts - if it's any consolation, Joshua was always way under the weight charts. He's looked malnourished all his life with his ribs and hip bones sticking out. However he's always had a huge appertite, has always been full of beans and he's rarely ever ill. I used to be worried about his weight but I guess he'd just a skinny build!
When I had my last one OH went ''cor thats a bog one aint it'' I could of died!

    Aww Charlotte is so pretty!

RE: centiles, Ry-ry is on the 75th, his dot slightly dropped this weigh in but I'm not worried cos he has plenty of milk and 3 meals a day.

I'm not sure what centile my neice is on but at 23 months she wears the same size nappy as Ry-ry! :rotfl:

i think you may be right there weezl, but she didnt know he was going over tonight. i think it is more that they LOVE their dogs and he knows how upset she must be, and with FIL away he doesnt want her being on her own. but no amount of turning up on the doorstep, hugs and kisses is going to change the fact that she still has to get into bed without the wee one, she always slept on her bed, and i imagine thats when its going to really get to her.

my nan just sent me a text thanking me for going round and retuning her freeview box, saying its nice to know someone cares and it takes the lonliness away, and heres me moaning about OH boogering off for an evening :o i'm in floods of tears now, i'm so selfish!

Alice still fits size four at 29 months and she was in size four when we went on holiday at nine months. I think it's because earlier on they go up in the sizes because of fatness of legs (or at least Alice did) but then their legs grow longer and stop being so fat.

Well, some good news today, I'm permitted to drive again! :)

But first attempt at BF wasn't successful - he wasn't hungry, or didn't know what was going on, or isn't interested :( Never mind, not giving up yet, try again tomorrow.
