.. Elle, hope you get some good results :) Is it Human milk fortifier you add to his milk?

It's this now. He was on breast milk fortifer for about three weeks (weeks 3 to 6 when they realised he was going to stick around but wasn't gaining weight) and then they switched to this as it helps his kidneys too (and the BM Fortifer was too high in sodium and a few other things).

*Wonders if using a swing and a mini electric at the same time is the same as double pumping?* I'm guessing it's like feeding twins, two different suction speeds and strengths? Anyway, it's the best I've got right now, but I am thinking of selling the swing and buying a new medela mini double... if we get through this nursing strike.

It's a nightmare because DH is off work so routine is all over the place, she refuses a bf and because of everyone saying that she is underweight I end up giving formula or EBM in a bottle. Going to have a bath with her tonight in a 're-birthing' type thing (supposedly it helps but it sounds a bit hippyish to me).

Oh, if I made up some baby spag bol or something, can I freeze the pasta? I assume you can, seeing as you can for microwave melas and whatnot, but anyone done it?

done it! Worked :) sorry for delay...
    Thank you :)

We had pizza hut... It was yummy yummerson... Will go out next week when I've shaken off the lergy... How is your brother? Hope you're having a nice visit :)

glad it was yummy :) hope you feel better soon.:kisses3:

Was a good visit with my brother, they went back last night late after the wedding though, to have some recovery time before the working week.

I completely understand, but selfishly would always love Fergie to have more time to bond with my brother!

We went to costco today and fergus tried very mature cheddar, taramosalata antipasti meat and some kind of biscuit! Something made his mouth go very red for a while, so we were a little bit ready to whip him off to A and E (something I can't shake as I'm an anaphalaxis girl myself!), but all was fine, and he coped very well with the strange unusual flavours, sucking taramosalata of our fingers with gusto!

    xxx

Bruno - I was also meant to say to you, I have been to Bruges... It is a very pretty, clean, tidy place....We liked it there, although to be honest I didn't enjoy myself that much but that may be due the the fact that we left the boys with my mum & dad!!! It was dh birthday and he wanted just us to go somewhere alone.....I thought he meant like a night out and hotel in Liverpool or something else local...not a 3 night trip, inc boat, to another country:rolleyes:

I'm sure you will have a good time there:)

    Mel x

Thanks Mel :) in the end our travel agency talked us into a better hotel there too, so I am spending more than I meant to  but it's a great deal, work pays part of it, free upgrade to first class on the Eurostar etc, and a nice peaceful time shall be had by all I hope. Not for 2 months but it's something to look forward to.

:D :j (just excited to have caught it on camera, finally!)

    Gorgeous :D

And thanks to everyone else (Sami, Keely) who posted cute pics today too :) I love looking at different stages of development too.

Krystal, sorry you don't feel well for your anniversary :/ hope your day is nice even if low-key.

We are back from our multi-trip, which was mostly very good, although unfortunately ended in a speeding ticket and very disapproving OH :(

Elijah was good for our first 45 minute drive, he got a bit bored, then just as we were 2 minutes from ancient family friend's house he fell asleep! Without his lunch or his pre-nap BF, just conked out... didn't wake on being taken out of the car, on being kissed by AFF, or on being laid out under a blanket on the sofa while we chatted! So he got a 45 minute nap then woke up and ran round and round the room trying to touch things he shouldn't touch.

Then another drive to 1st birthday party, where he was absolutely manic, 90 minutes of complete non-stop either climbing their stairs, or running around their front drive, babbling the whole time. Keeping him under control was absolutely exhausting lol, and at one point he hurled himself head-first out of the front door step to perform the "Scorpion" breakdancing position on the ground outside :o except the face/ground impact was large, and he has a huge bruise across the top of his nose and one eye now.

Then he fell asleep almost right away when we left, having utterly exhausted himself and me, and I got pulled over by an unmarked police car for doing 47 in a 40 and now need to find my driving licence to be endorsed, and now we are home! And I am tired.
