SM baby food is easy! Just normal food with no salt/sugar pur!ed or mashed :) try a Anabel karmel site for specific recipies or go for blw I think susan recommends the blw yahoo group x

We give him normal porridge, but you can whizz the dry oats in a blender til they're much more powdery like ready brek, and then microwave with cows milk (after 6 months) or formula/water before) if you want a completely lump free breakfast and maybe a little pureed fruit to add a bit of flavour. I've got ice cube trays of mashed banana, so I just chuck one of them in.;)

I think Izzy, benjamin and annabel all have porridge too...

I wonder about this too searching!

We aren't meant to add salt, but we can give cheese which has a 2 teaspoons per portion- go figure!

I reckon as long as the end result is low salt (ie you've blended it with lots of mashed plain potato), then ham shank should be fine. But that's just what I'd do ;)

  • I don't know if any/many of you will remember me from the pregnancy threads because I haven't posted since March apparently! I had another baby girl on May 17th, 11 days early but still weighed in at 7lb 11oz. She's a wee superstar and much loved by her sister and brothers :D

    How is everyone?

SM - I would say the same as Weezl, blend the food you are making for yourselves/Zoe as long as it is suitable 'baby' food.

I made a Saturday roast yesterday, so chucked chicken, mash, sweetcorn, peas, carrots and watery gravy in the food processor....managed to fill 8 jars which are now sitting in the freezer. It actually didn't blend very well due to the pea shells and the sweetcorn, so was a bit lumpy but he managed fine with it today. I thought he might as I have been giving him 7mth baby porridge, only had it because I had picked it up by mistake and it is the last box...I will just have him on weetabix(I will get him to eat it!) and normal ready brek from now on.

    Mel x
