  • If you're looking to make your own baby food, as much as she drives me crazy the Annabel Karmel books aren't a bad way to start off. Your local library will probably have at least one of them :)

Someone asked about ham shank, didn't they? Personally I wouldn't give that to a baby under 1, I think it's just too salty. Another cut might be okay though? As long as it's not smoked.

I'll need to get started on a freezer stash for Greer, I've been trying to express as much as possible so I have extra milk to mix with baby rice and cereal but I've never had a great pumping output. Not helped by getting my first period in 16 months yesterday! Can't believe it, I'm furious.
  • SM, I'm drink vodka "cheap paint stripper stuff", tesco orange squash mixed with value fizzy water "owing to the fact my dentist has forbidden diet coke anymore"!!

But 3 "measured home glassess" later.......

SM, I've got a Cow&Gate "100% fruit" apple and pear pot here (from the Bounty pack) which is apparently just "1 small apple, 1/5 pear and 1.5 tsps of concentrated apple juice".

    hello!

thats a awesome weight by the way ;)
Thank you! All my babies have been big, I was quite relieved that she was a bit early because apparently babies gain between 0.5lb-1lb in the last 4 weeks? Her brothers were enormous (both post dates) and her sister was over 7lbs at 37 weeks.

Thank God I'm not doing this again!!

Evening all - it's been a busy real-world weekend here. My Very Best Friend arrived on Friday night, so we sat up till 3:30am talking, till after the monster's second feed.

Then Husband's friends arrived lunchtime yesterday, so we ate and then left Husband and baby at home while we went off to Oktoberfest. We found a beergarden table because the weather was gorgeous and the tents were all heaving, and then later went on a bunch of the fairground rides before coming home.

Unfortunately, at this point Husband's guy guest vomited all over my hallway floor and the baby's bookcase. He was speedily transferred to the bathroom, where he failed to lift the seat or get any of his regurgitated beer into the toilet. His sister, our other guest, stepped up admirably and cleaned all his mess. I'm a sympathy puker so I fled.

Today the guy's been keeping a low profile but has singularly failed to apologise. I'm really not impressed. Also, Husband had planned a nice dinner but the guy announced his plans to go out for sushi instead - and didn't bother inviting us. If I'd been in his situation I'd have offered to buy the hosting couple dinner to apologise and thank them for letting me stay with them. AND I wouldn't've puked in their home.

VBF and I took the guy's sister to the Volksbad for steam and sauna. It was lovely, we got there just in time for the steam room's honey treatments, so we were hanging out with all the other nekkid people rubbing honey on ourselves. I do love how incredibly matter of fact Germans are about nudity.

VBF's now gone home, and the others leave tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to their leaving.

Oh, and the damned cat peed all over the rug today - while VBF and I were sitting right beside it. He had his face rubbed in it, dirty little !!!!!!.

I don't know if any/many of you will remember me from the pregnancy threads because I haven't posted since March apparently! I had another baby girl on May 17th, 11 days early but still weighed in at 7lb 11oz. She's a wee superstar and much loved by her sister and brothers :D

    How is everyone?

    Welcome :hello:

    Awesome birthday ;)

Tell us more about you and yours:)
