actually mel, what you just said reminded me of a legal case at my old job where a salesperson had crossed out a part of the small print and because the customer hadnt initialled or signed next to the crossed out bit it didnt hold up in court cos they said the salesperson could have crossed it through after the customer left the store. had she crossed it out on your copy or just hers?

I wasn't asked to initial anything, but it is on both parts as it was one of those with the white and pink carbon paper where it copies straight through to the pink copy underneath...

But I agree I should have been asked to initial to agree that I understood that she would not be using that service!

aww bums then, cos you might have been onto something if it wasnt crossed out on yours. although i still dont think it would hold up cos she could have done it after you'd signed...

  • To be honest I barely had a hold of them, she basically read out the 'applicable' its and then got me to sign!!

Oh well as she is willing to wait for the money it's not too bad... she is claiming she has turned down jobs and is out of pocket....to be honest I am just glad my kids aren't with her now!
