Bad mummy moment..

Am sat here with feet up, laptop on my knee, Rhys tucked under one arm (he likes his feet to touch to sofa) and asleep on my shoulder and a wine glass in the other hand. Rhys just woke up, looked at the wine glass and looked at me with complete disgust!

Any thoughts on what to get OH for his birthday from Rhys? Don't want to go mad on the "Daddy" stuff, but don't know which one (or two!) item(s) to go for..

We're already going away for four nights (Mon to Fri and Tues is his birthday), plus I've got him a kite as a fun present and a wallet as a practical one.0 -
Elijah just made me a card for my birthday, that was fine
perhaps I have low expectations!
Hoping everyone got some ok sleep, we were up quite unwillingly at 6.30 but otherwise no disturbances. He didn't wake at 5.40 today so maybe it's not a real pattern!
Today we shall be driving a hundred miles and making two stops, the first to visit my ancient family friend who babysat me when I was small, who is 96 and just been released from hospital. She is a lovely lady, we had a great photo of her burping Elijah when they first met. She likes to regale us with tales of driving a Model T Ford from New York to San Francisco in the 30s, and that sort of thing
Then on to a friend's 1st birthday party, should be nice but they do live inconveniently far! I don't hold out much hope for a relaxed and contented 2 hour drive home at the end, but we shall see
Before I can do all that I must go find a good Sunday morning bakery, the AFF can't eat much nowadays but she does still like quality soft pastries!
All you people and your Christmas shopping
I find it very demoralising! It just highlights the number of things I should be spending time on with higher priority than Christmas shopping, that I haven't got round to yet!
Hope everyone has a lovely day!0
