Weezl - all I can think is that as Elle said physical movement (esp bending at the waist) can help get things moving???
I would guess that she was maybe also thinking that if the HVs see him more often they would be better equipt to spot the difference between a below ave baby and a 'something wrong' baby ?? does that make sense?
Like you say IF there is something wrong theres nothing that worry can do and the likelihood is that he's just below ave and will catchup at some point0 -

Well I did a test - negative, AND my periods came during the night.
So I guess I got what I wanted, so why am I upset about it?
Mouth rapeage at the dentist at 11, I'm sure that will be something to really cry about.
I think maybe you're upset about the test because in your mind you were already planning a baby, wether you wanted one or not... and a negative result means your kind of mourning a baby that never was... Even though you didn't really want one... If that makes sense?
Good luck with the dentist... I've lost a filling I think, can feel the hole... But my dentist room us up 2 flights of stairs and there's nothing I can do with the baby unless I drag the buggy up there with me so it will have to wait until next week when hubby will be recouperating from his own dentist visit... Ah how well you know me m'dear!
House - life insurance set up to pay this off so home is there for kids
Normal costs of house - 2nd life policy set up for minimal amount to cover at least 5 years of housing costs like insurance and rates
Housing costs of your home? So is sis moving to yours with J and D? Or do you mean her insurance and rates?:o
Long term money for J & D - Chris pension has been assigned to them to get a monthly income from their 18th birthdays, up till then it goes into a trust fund
great idea! So they'll have a house and an income :T. Our pensions only pay out to our dependants up til 21 and 23 (mine, his). Did you have to buy AVCs to get it to last longer?
Money for my sister (guardian) - My private pension - this will give the equivalent of £7k a year which will be topped up by a lump sum paid by my death in service payment of 4 times my salary paid directly to her.
What's happening with Chris' lump sum?
We also have an investment policy that is assigned to the kids to give them a lump sum out of when they turn 21, (well Jasmine does, I will set Dylans up when I go back to work) and I have also set up a pension for both of them too
Thank you so much :A I have asked some more Qs but feel free to ignore if you feel it's too personal. xxx

Weezl, very quickly: my SIL's of age but not legally competent to take care of her own financial affairs, so her two brothers form a legal trust to give her an allowance, manage the trust fund in terms of investments and approve/deny requests she makes for additional funds. The same scenario applies to my two underage nephews, and once we get ourselves organised we'll have something similar in place for Molly and any siblings who might follow her. The basic idea is to have the maximum amount of money available while having a safeguard in place in the form of another person to make sure the money isn't wasted on inappropriate stuff or stolen.
The only way in which any legal guardian would get their mitts on Molly is if we were both dead, in which case everything we have would be in trust for her. I'd allow private school fees as an appropriate expense (I know you were thinking of that) and then I'd calculate the average cost of raising a wee one, raise it 10% and allow an increase in line with inflation along with a provision for emergencies and a cutoff at which point she'll be able to take control of her own inheritance.
That was longer than expected - Molly came home and I'm pinned to the chair againOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Just insurance and rates, have no intention of anyone moving in to it, but have also stated in my will that is my sis needs money for the kids, it is to be sold and used, as that is more important than them having a house in the future. Oh and I mean of my house not hers, she would be paying hers anyway, but I couldnt leave this house with no cover in place when no one would be living in it, so its those costs that are being covered.

They have been set up to pay into an investment plan until they are 18 when they can have an income paid. To be honest, as I work in Halifax, my financial advisr set them up and I dont really understand what it is or how it works

Its going into the kids investment account for future income

All of the accounts that are not going direct to my sister have the ability to be run by her, and it is stated that she has control, so if money is needed, she has the right to do with the money what she needs

Weezl & MM you've made me realise I REALLY need to check what happens if we both die! I know things get paid if OH dies but not a clue if I do  I don't think I have life insurance and I really should because if I died OH would have to send them to a CM (although WTC would maybe cover that?) :think:0

sami, Chris is much better off if I die, than I would be if he dies, but then I am the main income earner, so thats the way it should be. So long as you have critical illness policy as that is far more expensive to the family than a death as horrible as that soundsThe two best things I have done with my life

mm and ss thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I know it's quite a personal thing and so I really appreciate you saying.
ss yes! absolutely this is only if we both die!
sami, not sure if this helps but I copied our normal outgoings budget twice and changed relevant bits so one was him alone plus fergie and sibling and one was me alone plus fergie and sibling. Then I looked to see if the incomes we'd each have would match it. Does that make sense?
