I'm up, I'm up ... I got bored with there being nobody around this thread, so I went off for a wander to the Shopping section ;)

I've been in the office for ages, no lie-ins here! 9pm crash-out for me last night though, but the last two nights E has been fairly back on the straight and narrow - he's woken up a couple of times to have a shout and wail, but has always settled himself within a few minutes without my having to go in. So slightly broken sleep but waay better than last week :p and I am feeling a bit caught up! Which is good as work going a bit wild again the next few days I think.

Sorry to hear about 2am pain and 1am sickness, ladies!
  • Hi tigs, you feeling a bit more positive today? Its not nice when they stall, but he will get there. Dylan was on 26% CPAP for 2 days and they were lowering it to air in the morning when he took a turn and went back on ventilator for 9 hours. But he made it eventually :)

Morning :) Lst night wasn't as bad as expected, took a while for Elliot to settle down and he did wake up a couple of times but nothing too bad. What I don't like is all the mucky nappies i have to deal with when he's teething!!

Off topic for me normally, but i know my husband wants baby number two at some point, probably in the next couple of years if we can move. However i still don't know if i want to, or more to the point can do it again. I still worry a lot about the whole breastfeeding problems again and letting down another baby. I also think i'm a rubbish mom in general anyway. I wouldn't want to upset my husband, but i know he'd love another one to complete our family. Some days i think yes i could do it, other days i worry too much over everything!!

    keely.
Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)

Not really, this morning's phone call advised that Andrew's O2 is back up to 0.03l. I'm sure it's a case of some nurses wanting not to hear the alarm so they put his oxygen up to 98% SaO2 all the time, whereas others are happy to challenge him and accept occasional alarms when the sats drop below 92%. Am trying to get into a more positive frame of mind before I go and visit this morning, but not really succeeding.

Keeley, I'm sure you're a wonderful Mum... Only people who don't care about being bad parents are crap parents... It's our worrying about it that makes us good :)

You haven't let Elliot down, he's well fed and he's happy and healthy... Just because he gets his milk from a different source than you'd doesn't make it a failure. And next time round you'd have me at your beck and call anyway ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Glad last night went better than you were expecting, teething does end eventually, and you will forget all about it !!

As for the 2nd part. I take it you are sufering a bit from PND if you feel like a bad mum. If you were bad at it, you would have a very sick dirty grumpy baby that never smiled or was fed or had clean clothes on. We all have our down points, but our beautiful children are proof that we have many many good points too. I hate that you would feel you would let another child down. BF problms or birth problems are not your fault, it just happens. I wouldnt rush into having a 2nd one till you talk it over with you OH or someone else, but ((hugs)) anyway. You are a good mum :D

Is there any way you can get out for a walk between feeds?? 10 hours in the hospital when you are feeling a bit down is not good. Hope you feel a bit better later and that Andrew picks up a bit :o
