What I cant believe these figures. There are 3 in our household, me, hubby and 3 year old. What are you lot doing growing your own food??!!
We spend £200 +/month, we dont eat meat, so its only fruit and veg, and all the usual cleaning bits. No nappies or beer. God what am I doing wrong??!
I shop at either Tesco or Asda and always go armed with coupons.

Updated Printable Money off Coupons & Policies Thread 9 (and chat)
I get loads of coupons off this thread and for 3 adults I rarely spend more than £15 per week shopping. That includes all cleaning materials, but not alcohol.
I also look on the reduced shelf if I manage to get to Tesco about 1 hour before closing time. I got 2 gammons joints reduced to 50p each the other week. The staff reduced everything in the reduced section to between 10p and 50p.0 -
Is there anywhere on here that gives help with shopping lists and meal plans? I am managing about £80-£100 a week for 3 adults cleaning stuff an dog and cat stuff. I struggle so I must be being dense. Or we over eat maybe if I could see actually what people buy and what they do with it the penny might drop and I can see where I can make changes.

Wow at £3 per week!
We spend roughly £60p/w for a family of 5 (2 adults, 5 year old, 3 year old and 4 month old). We could do it for I think around £40ish but I like biscuits too much and my oh likes his beers :-D
I make almost all of our meals myself apart from the odd pizza base I buy. We are £5 per week on milk alone LOL
My list generally contains big pakc of mince, chicken fillets x 2, pasta, milk 2L x 4, 3 loaves of bread, block of cheese, yoghurts, fruit and veg.
I use washable nappies and breastfeed so no money going out on the little one.Kyle 03.04.04

£3?! Wow. I spend £20 a week on food for just me. I only eat organic / free-range meat & veg, for reference.
I generally buy ...
Seasonal veg from organic veg box (£5)
One large piece of meat, or sometimes a couple of packs of mince / sausages (£5)
Fish (£2)
Fruit -- mostly bananas & apples, organic when affordable (£2)
3 x 500g tubs of natural yoghurt (£1.50)
The remaining £4.50 is left over goes on things like whole grain pasta & rice, tinned tomatoes, dried beans, eggs ... basically whatever I need to make meals with ... & to top-up items like muesli & bread flour! I also try to buy myself one or two little treats, as I find this actually helps me stick to my budget.
I also spend £5 a week on cat food, but have that in a separate budget area as I buy online in bulk at big discounts
