£100 a month for two 23 year olds here. That includes the cleaning bits though.
Thought that was quite good ... then I read this topic! .
That works out at about £25/week. I think thats mighty fine particularly as you eat 'real' food. There are not many 23 yr olds that are so thrifty with food budgets.
HAve a large pat on the back from me.:T0

Me and my boyf are both students, we budget £60 a week and spend between £45 and £60 of that per week) I eat a special diet though with specific amounts of foods per meal etc. We eat well, all our meals are made from scratch and our freezer always has at least an extra 4 or 5 days worth of meat, plus frozen veggies, bread etc There are some items that darlingboyf won't give up yet though, like quality toilet paper  I've managed to move him down to supermarket own but no further yet...I'd be happy buying thevalue stuff but he's having none of it!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

In my household it's just me and my boyfriend, we spend between £40-45 per week on groceries which includes cleaning stuff but not toiletries. We eat very well and almost always cook from scratch. We only resort to eating out if we're too knackered to cook and haven't anything in the fridge which is rare.
I really need to get the bill down as when I was a student and living alone I could manage on £15-£20 a week quite wellThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
