People parking in our space

Engaging a local clamping company will probably be the best thing to do. Their clampers will be SIA registered and can take any flack from the moron parking in your space. They'll probably provide clamping notices and a pass for your car. Any car parked in that space not displaying a pass gets clamped.
They would need a contract with the leaseholder though, and possibly the freeholder/management agent. It sounds like neither of those are really interesting in solving the problem.0 -
I have the same problem too.
Our parking spaces are randomly allocated. Mine happens to be right next door to communal flat door entrance. You can guarantee that my next door neighbour (youngish couple) will try to park there or the one next to it rather than their allocated spot which is on opposite side of car park! They are so lazy about this. But the ironic thing is that they both appear to be gym bunnies from what I've seen them wear and they go out with gym bags etc!
Obviously this forces me to park elsewhere and then everyone else to shuffle along. Luckily no-one has complained about me being in their space cos of this yet. There are quite a few free spaces in teh acr park as quite alot of flats are holiday rentals and don't get used loads.
I've only been there 6weeks so don't want to have to have the chat with them yet!

Hello,
Been going through my old posts and just thought i'll give you an update. I found the guy that was parking in our space, some young lad who proberbly just passed his test. When I approached him (very polite and well mannered), he turned out to be a complete stain as well, saying, he will park where he wants and if I dont like it I can go F**K myself. Needless to say with my anger I nearly went for the nail gun again, however I didnt and told him not to speak to me like that again, the prat just walked away. Anyway found out that he is visiting his girlfriend who lives at the flats, had a quick chat with her dad, and he being a normal person said he will sort it, true to his word the guy has never parked in our spot again. Dont know what he said or what actually happened, but I am not bothered either.
Sometimes, some people are just bell ends. But thanks to everyone for your advice. Its very much appricated.0 -
Glad to hear it got sorted out.
When I lived in a flat years ago, I had a similar problem. I used to put down an old parking cone when I left my spot and that seemed to resolve matters. It takes a bit of effort to stop your car and move the cone if you want to park illegally. Far easier just to drive on past and look for another spot.0 -
If he does it again you can invite some mechaphiles down to appreciate the car in your spot. He'll never park there again.0
