The MeLuna is a lot shorter, so that will be why it sits higher up. I find my MeLuna is a bit more difficult to remove than my Mooncup was, but it isn't impossible.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

I love my mooncup, I think I feel cleaner with it, I hate periods and this makes it a bit more bearable cos I forget I'm using it, must have had it 3 years now and must have saved me quite a bit.0

I hope an experienced user can help me out. I have been tempted to try a mooncup or similar for ages, but have been put off by the price. However, quite by chance I have been given one to test out for free as I am a member of ClixResearch (there's a thread on the freebie board somewhere). The one I have been sent (and am using as I type) is called Diva - size 2. I have studied the instructions several times and am convinced that I am doing it all right, but I can still 'feel' it as I walk about etc. I trimmed the stalk to half the length (it says not to cut it off) in case that was the problem, but it still seems to sit very low (it comes down after I push it up).
This thread is so long that I couldn't read it all, but I have seem some mention of the Diva cup being longer (and maybe stiffer) than the others - can anyone confirm this? If this is the case I am wondering if I would be better off with another brand. Perhaps there is a website or something where they are compared.0 -

If you follow the link in post 916, it compares the lengths of menstrual cups. The divacup is 57mm without stem, whereas the moncup is 50mm. That site also compares the diameter - it might be that it's too wide or narrow to form a good seal with you.
Thanks fot the link - just what I needed. It does seem that the Diva is the longest type, so maybe I will try one of the others. I think the width is OK as I have had no leakage at all. It's staying put better today as well as things slow down a bit. I guess it's just a case of getting used to it too.0 -
I cut the stalk off my mooncup and have never had any problems with it. If you are considering swapping to another brand and got this one for free why don't you try completely cutting off the stalk - I found it made all the difference to being able to feel it all the time and not noticing it was there. When you remove it squeeze it slightly at the bulb and it releases the suction.Sorry if this is TMI. I love the mooncup - find my periods are shorter and less painful with it

Got to say that I prefer the Jam Sponge to the Mooncup but I think it is each to their own.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.
