Apparently they offer a money-back guarantee if you don't get on with it...

    Might be worth looking into.

I know they used to do this, but thought they'd stopped it now. Can't see anything about it on their website and it definitely used to be on there.

I really want to get one of these as i spend at least a fiver a month on other prodcuts.

Which size should i go for though?

it says size B for women that havent had a baby (which i havent)
but then says size A for women over 30 (which i am)

does that mean coz i'm 31 i'm a bit "baggy"? excuse the expression but couldnt think of a nicer way of putting it :o

I'm 31 and went for the size A, women over 30 and it's fitted fine.
Baggy isn't the most pleasant way to describe it, but I can't think of anything better either.

:hello:Hello fwoodles & welcome to MSE chat :D

I've used mine for the first time over the past week. I'm impressed & know me and my Mooncup are going to get along just fine.

I have just been sterilizing it though as I've finished using it for this month. My husband has just walked into the kitchen and said 'oooo, are you making egg mayo for sandwiches tomorrow? ' Obviously he couldn't see inside the saucepan but when he saw it he wanted a full report on how it worked and was most impressed. He's a bit odd like that! :rotfl:

I emailed them earlier to clarify about the 3 month money back guarantee and this was the response I got:-

We decided to discontinue the 3 cycle trial period last year and focus more on the establisment of a comprehensive advice service. Our experience has shown that women who have problems when they initially try the Mooncup benefit greatly from our advice service and go on to be happy Mooncup users. We actively encourage women to contact us if they do experience problems because we know that in most cases we can help. We will do everything possible to help a woman use her Mooncup effectively and if this means that after exploring all factors an exchange seems appropriate, then this will be advised. Our experience suggests that a guarantee actually encourages women to stop using the Mooncup whereas advice supports continued use. The change to our refund policy has not affected our sales and conversely they have continued to rise. It is our aim to help women to change to the Mooncup for their own health and well being, and for the benefit of our planet.

Well, I was inspired to get one after someone posted about it in another forum - DFW I think!

I was a bit dubious at first, but went along to the site and read all the reviews and decided I would try it out.

There is a definite knack to getting it in and a little moisture does go along way - it just wasn't going in without. Once I got the hang of putting it in, I spent ages in the bathroom, taking it out, putting it in, taking out, etc until i was happy to leave it in for a few hours. However, I don't put it too high up - but i think my muscles down there, 'suck' it up a little bit, or maybe it get's pushed up a little bit because of sitting on it basically, because when it comes to getting it out after it's in there a while is very hard. I'm having probs taking it back out again - I have removed some of the stem but I think I actually need to remove more because I can feel it once 'in place' but I need what I have left!

Gross as it sounds though, after one frantic session of being unable to get hold of it enough to take it out, I went for a number 2 and that helped push it down too, to get hold of it.

Sorry for all the info...not sure if I'll try it again...worried about it.

I've used mine twice now and have got to say so glad that I got one and wished I known about them sooner. I've not had any of the leakage problems I have with the tampons I've been really impressed and have been telling family and friend who all seem a little revolted but give me time and I'm sure I'll convert a few of them;) :D .
