I have to tell all you money saving girls out there about the menstrual cup. They cost less than £20, last for years, are safe and easy to use ( made of medical grade silicone) and will save a fortune on tampons/towels. There are several brands out there - the Mooncup is available in Boots chemists as well as on line.
I was sceptical when I first used mine but now I'm a total convert - it's so comfortable and convenient as well as saving money.
No yukky towels/tampons to dispose of either, so better for the planet.0 -
I agree, I have had one for a couple of years now and saved a fair few bob on towels. There is a great thread on here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=196357&highlight=mooncup

I love mine. After a year I will NEVER go back to tampons and pads. I have a couple of cloth pads, just in case on heavy days, but virtually never leak. Unlike tampons. Mines a Diva cup, which I bought whilst in Canada, but you can buy them here. I've got my money back and more. Got years of life in it yet.0

Hey - tell every fella you meet about it and watch them shrivel! Then ask them to get the shelf up that they have been promising for forever and it will be up so fast and they will be watching the footie before you blink.0
