Su told me that they are monitoring the situation. However I recently acquired a couple of LadyCups to compare to Mooncups and found that their Small size is REALLY small. If you want any more info, please PM me.
However LadyCup's Large is very large. They recommend Large for over 25s. I am 41 and have had a baby, yet found their Large far too big. In fact I struggled to remove it. I can only imagine that Czech women have far larger Love Tunnels than we do!
Lol, I might try one if I've got some spare cash sometimeI am 27 with no kids.

I'm on my third period...and second mooncup  I have no clue where my original one was, it's SOMEWHERE in my flat - gone to find my V5 I think. Came on early last week and had to use a tampon...eurgh. Not a pleasant experience - I was so light it hurt! Nipped to Boots and bought myself a new one!
I have a customer who lost hers only to find it was exactly where she had last seen it the previous month..... The doctor was amazed that 1. it was that comfortable and 2. she had no sign of any kind of infection or TSS. A very different story if it had been a tampon that had been left there for 3 weeks.I'm free from tampons - another Mooncup Convert!
I :heartsmilFreecycle
I'm not going to have internet access from 24th July until 16th August.
Have a lovely summer!0 -
I am new to forum but fascinated by people's reaction to mooncups. In response to post by by raspabarbas
I don't always wash my cup but often - if not 'en suite' just wipe it and pop it back, see below
- has anyone ever pushed theirs out unintentionally? No, but do always check round to see it is in place
- has anyone ever dropped it? They do come out slimy... No
- if you take it out to go poop, do you just hold onto it? see below
- after taking out/putting back in, how do you get your pants back up with bloodied fingers? You don't, I always start with paper in loo, avoids the stain, and paper ready to wipe cup, remove cup, empty onto paper in loo, then retrieve loo paper, wipe cup round, it generally comes up pretty clean, then rest it in my pants while I clean myself, then pop cup back in. Fingers generally don't get bloody, at least not enough to worry about.
- does anyone else have qualms about rinsing it out in a communal sink at work? Actually yes, I cannot imagine doing this and I am a committed user. just wipe out - as above - and rinse next time you can.
-am I just having a Lady Macbeth moment? - yes I think so but your sense of smell is particularly acute when you have your period

I've been using my mooncup for years now, and i'm very pleased with it, saves a fortune and creates far less waste, plus saves the hassle of having to carry disposeables in my bag!
To answer a few of the questions...
I just wipe mine, (and my fingers if needed!), and then pop it back in when i'm out
I'd feel weird not taking it out for a number 2! I rest it in my pants while I do, like the above poster.
I've dropped mine just once in all the 4 years I've been using it. I just took it home to sterilise it before using again, and bought a tampon from the vending machine to use in the meantime.Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice.

Well you've all convinved me this is worth a try. The only problem I have is choosing which size to get. I am only twenty four but have had a normal birth. I only small ( 5'2" and size 8) and used to be a dancer so theoretically should be quite "muscular" down there. As I have had a baby I am suppost to get a large size but it looks huge (to be honest the little one looks huge too!). I only have a very light flow and have only ever used normal/ for light flow sized tampons, I tried a large once and never again it was so painful to take out! Just wondering if anyone else had tried a small after a baby. I know over it's lifetime it will work out cheap but £20 is a lot to decide you needed a different size!0

A good place to ask this kind of question is at the livejournal cup community over here:
http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/
In fact, it's a good place to read up on all the different cups and sizes. There are lots of different cups to choose from, not just the mooncup.

the link looks great, lots of helpful tips. A lot of people keep mentioning a chart about which size different cups are suitable for different people but I can't find it anywhere! I know I'm probably being dim but if anyone knows where it is and could post a link that would be great.0
