Seriously? Oh dear! Sit down and bear down a little, the cup should come down a bit, grab the bottom of the cup (not the stem, the stem's useless) and give it a little squeeze, it should break the seal and you should be able to pull it out.
I got it out in the end, even pinching the cup didn't seem to work though, it took ages and a lot of pain to get it back out. Now terrified to try it again :eek:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Ok, I have cut off most of the 'stem' and I'm giving it another try, off for an early night so no doubt tomorrow I'll be panicking trying to get the thing out before work
Will let you know how it goes :rotfl:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I find it easier if I open my legs as far as possible - that (for me at least) seems to push it down. I had a 'I can't get it out' panic, but once I'd spreadeagled I was fine and could reach it.
Good luck. Now you do realise that you have to tell us all how you get on0 -
Drea, I find that pushing one finger up alongside the mooncup and squeezing it in to break the seal really helps. Maybe a little bit messy - but it works and means no pain. Its also much easier if you can relax - much easier said than done, I know. Take a deep breath, remember that lots of women do this every day, and if it hurts you are probably doing something wrong. The pain is probably caused by not breaking the seal before pulling it out. There are plenty of suggestions in this thread for how to break the seal but they all work for different people. Hope it all goes ok tomorrow. xxilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

Well when I woke up I couldn't get it out but was in a rush for work, so waited until lunchtime, couldn't get it out, I've tried everything. Pinching, pushing up the side of it and squeezing, pushing down to make it come out more. I just can't do it! How do you guys 'pinch' it anyway? I can barely fit one finger in when that thing is there nevermind two to pinch it!
How long is it safe to be in for? Getting a bit worried now :eek:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
OK. You need to relax (yes, I know that's easier said than done). Get comfortable - but you need to squat or spreadeagle to make the whole area shorter. You then need to use your vaginal muscles to push it down slightly - only little pushes, but several rather than one big one. You should feel it move down and it become more accessible. You should then be able to reach in and either pinch it, or get a finger up the side of it, which will break the seal.
The first time I used one I didn't think I would get it out, but I did. And then again. Part of it comes from knowing it must be possible, you've just got to find the way that is right for you.
Don't panic. Your worst case scenario is that you get a doctor to remove it, but I don't think it will come to that.0 -

I've been doing that but it really hurts me, there is no room for one finger to have room to move around and I keep pinching myself with my nail even though I cut my nail down.
Am I a lot smaller than everyone else or something?I just don't understand how people are pinching it, etc. I can get my finger up to the top of it (with a lot of pain) but can't seem to break the 'suction'.
