Hi everyone,
If you read posts from the beginning of this thread you will see the difficulties that people are having - hope your experiences are differant but many people have filled in the online form, received a letter from SW saying their policy is eligable but a cheque was sent to them in august 2000 and cashed in september 2000.
Phone calls made to SW will then reveal they can no provide no more info other than, cheque value, cheque payable to, date cashed (no cheque numbers or details of bank cashed into)
If you can then get your bank to provide statements from 2000 then you should be able to check , if you cant get statements from 2000 then you have no way of proving the cheque was or wasnt cashed.
Thats where i am at the moment.
Hope you fare better0 -
Word of advice before you submit the form do a screen print of it before and a print after with their acknowledgement, just in case they come back with "we did not receive your submission". The screen print will have the date at the bottom right hand corner, that you can use as proof of sending.
I am still waiting to hear from them.

The submit button in under:-
Tick here if you are requesting an update on your claim :
It's not completely showing though! Hold the left button on your mouse and scroll down at the same time and it should appear.
Thank you Nala. I have done as suggested - scrolled from top to bottom of the page - but with no luck.
"Tick here if you are requesting an update on you claim" does not appear on the form. Just what am I missing here or, more likely, what am I doing wrong?0 -
This is 1st time I have heard of scottish widows paying out for demutulisation. I vividly remember me stating to my hubby that when halifax took over leeds bs we recieved shares and yet at time we recieved demutulisation papers we were offered nothing. We agreed to the demutualisation because at that time Lloyds were a stable company and we entrusted our cash to be invested wisely. In April 2000 our home was demolished by fire so we defo did not recieve a cheque as there was no building to deliver it to lol. My hubby telephoned SW yesterday and unlike some other customers he was treated with utmost respect from a female within the company who provided us with policy numbers. Initially I was excited at a possible payout (As Halifax done) but after reading this forum I kinda hold out little hope now as I never get anything involving cash. But guess its worth a try. May I ask pple who have been successful to let me know please? Thanks0

I've had a "Non Contribution Pension" plan/policy with Scottish Widows since the early 90's and get statements sent every year but since reading Martin's email on Thursday I have been unable to find a statement - which is typical!!!
Does anyone know if this type of plan/policy is included and more importantly are there any age restrictions?
Any help would be appreciated.0 -
I have two company pensions done with Scottish Widows, do they qualify under the Scheme, they are Money Purchase schemes.0

I know I filled in the form but not sure if they have recieved it, Now there is a new message stating not to ring or fill in form again due to back log, But how do we know they have got it.. Will be very angry if they say not heard from me..
Couldn't see anything saying there was a backlog, at least it seems to clear up some of the info to see what policies qualify0
