    You have lovely neighbours does the sun shine on their planet, if it does perhaps they could redirect it preferably up their rear ends that might put a spark of normality into their sad lives. You never know perhaps they are enjoying your compensation for you, still it does not matter it is only money anyway.If you decide to claim you might even get the standard answer "we sent it to the address you gave us and you cashed it but in what Bank we are not sure" after this you might be reported and sectioned for having the bare face cheek to question their honesty.
  • Well, my hubby was sure he had never received his cheque from SW, so I wrote to them on his behalf and asked for the details. The standard reply suggested that they had sent him a cheque on the dreaded 21st of August 2000, and that it had been cashed on the 29th.

    Having spent several days in the loft searching for his old bank statements, I finally found the one I was looking for. Low and behold, there was a cheque credited to his account for £2997.51 on the 23rd of August.

    So annoying that he didn’t remember, but I am glad that the money did actually come to us and not the SW postal ‘black hole’.
  • Just about to start legal proceedings against SW. Usual story; cheque sent 21/8/00. If anyone has had any success with this matter let me know

  • It may be old but they've just sent me a cheque for the full amount plus 8% interest plus £100 for the hassle. Result. I informed them they had 14 days before I started legal proceedings and they payed out. The subject access request and the ineptitude of their staff helped
