Is it not better to buy your glasses from a opticians, not a opticians in a supermarket, as that way you are able to deal with a physical person and not a email or a form!
Your eyes are one of your most precious things, i am all for moneysaving but this does not extend to my eyes!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

If you go to your opticians, are you required to buy your specs/lenses from them or are you able to get a prescription and go elsewhere? I know they would frown on it!
Why not do your homework 1st and then get your eyes tested where you plan on having specs made? It potentially saves a lot of hassle if things don't go to plan and is fairer on the opticians as well.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

What? Do you work for D&A? Fairer?
People should get their specs wherever they choose. I got 3 pairs on this offer from a prescription I got from D&A for free. Thanks D&A but I didn't fancy spending £250 on the specs they suggested!
I got 3 pairs for a total of £25. I've given 2 to charity as they were too small but the 3rd (semi rimless) pair are brilliant and with the good coatings, they're my main driving specs. I'm wearing my £80 (high street read £200!) glasses from glasses direct. What a great student and good guy to do that for "us" the common people.
As for all the high street opticians, they can go to **. :rotfl:I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I've rec'd 1 of the 3 pairs ordered, which is excellent for the money.
The only thing narking me is the other 2 pairs which the RM have clearly lost, and I now have to wait 25 working days for them to even consider them lost. It'll have taken 2 months for the other 2 pairs to eventually come, which albeit not their fault, is a little annoying.0 -

Surely though if Garage A told me my car needed a new exhaust, and Garage B could do the job for 25% of the price, you'd go with Garage B? I got my prescription FOC, then took up this offer. I'm happy with the pair I've got so far.0 -
I received mine last week which took 3 weeks to arrive. I am over the moon with them, and in fact I prefer them to my Osiris ones from Specsavers which cost £125! The frames are more plasticy than more expensive ones (more like sunglasses frames) but the lens quality is very good and I can read much more clearer in them. I bought the Savannah ones - I think they are the first ones on the £5 page0

I ordered 3 pairs on 21st October and have still not got 2 pairs. That's ridiculous nearly 7 weeks later!0

I ordered two pairs and have only received one so far! Have emailed the company and they told me I had to wait 25 days then they would send the other pair out again!
I must admit I am surprised with how good the glasses are and would def buy again!0
